V4R or V4 25’ Anniversario 916

Interesting. My 21 V4S has a 85nm spring. I read somewhere that starting in 2020 they went to a lighter rear with a different linkage.

my 21 SFV4S had an 85 too I think, which was a bit too soft for me after I adjusted the suspension settings

The 95 feels good so far for my weight.

BST makes the OEM carbon wheels for Ducati not Thyssenkrupp. Thyssenkrupp made wheels for BMW.
Sorry, I miswrote there, meant ThysenKrupp made the Ducati wheels that I ordered before I got this bike ;-)

though I wouldn’t be suprised if ThysenKrupp replaced BST as the OE provider with Ducati, they use a process that’s more amenable to OE durability standards and have really targeted making CF wheels OEwith lots of manufacturers

I'd be better off with a 95nm. I'm still trying to figure out what the OEM fork spring is for a 2021 V4S. I get mixed results online. No matter what, it needs to be a higher rate that stock.

Yep, I’m using the Thyssenkrupp matte wheels on my current project.

I ordered Matte for the SFV4S stealth bike but with this bike the gloss would look better I think, so I’m trying to see if I can get my vendor to switch to gloss before they ship

Man now I’m wanting to try the XX pads sometime too, maybe next season. I love the SS, they come on not nearly as hard as the stock pads and are nice and progressive. I never felt like they would be too much.

Hey brother, is this the Quickshifter/blipper you have?

and do I need any other parts with it?

What did you end up installing and what was your final sag numbers & rider weight?
Installed 11.0. I could get good sag with the 10.5 but would bury the .... out of them plus they didn’t feel good that light.
My sag is like 35/29 with the 11.0. I’m 180 without gear. Probably 210 with gear since I wear an armored air vest over the suit.

Put a black gas cap instead of the silver one that came on the bike, mostly because I don’t like having to use a special key that I may or may not lose to fill the gas lol

We put the Cordona Quickshifter, and raised the front end about an 8th of an inch so it’s not so nose down and it is turning better now, more intuitively with less oversteer on lean in.

We put the ThysenKrupp CF wheels on there, I like them, and they do make the bike handle noticeably different, even than the already very light factory Magnesium racing wheels that were on it.

the bike definitely has less gyroscopic stability, I use the word stability because the lower gyroscopic forces on lighter wheels make the bike lean and move easier, and the whole bike feels much lighter, but in some ways it feels less planted and secure too. Overall it’s a good thing if your driving your bike hard all the time, but when your just cruising along getting from point A to point B the lighter wheels are actually less nice to ride than the slightly heavier wheels

but then again I only get to do one decent ride a week and when I get on this bike it’s not to go for a leisurely cruise lol

I love those wheels!

The brakes are more than powerful for anything you will ever do on the street. Get on them earlier, lighter, and hold them deep into the corner, you’ll go faster and be able to better respond to unplanned hazards in the corner.

Bought the Full6 Carbon fiber subframe but wanted to keep the livery pretty close to the special addition livery of the bike, but still show the carbon fiber.

my guy Leno over in Santa Anna is doing a great job on it, still has to go to polish but wow so far.

Nice bike and setup Steven. Hope you've been enjoying your bike. Reviving this thread so it seems. Very interesting indeed. I also have an Anniversario V4 incoming. Question: Is anybody interested in trading me my Akra approved slip on silencers for the standard Akra slip on pipes? The ones I have are quieter and more compliant for street while maintaining Akra quality and titanium materials. Retails for $5-6K online I've seen. I've also seen this slip on being used on the factory V4 Superleggera as well. I'm located next to Newport Beach Ducati if anyone is interested. Cheers!

This bike

is as close to motoring perfection as I’ve ever experienced in any vehicle of any type

I’m absolutely in love

put my shorty levers on and bar end mirrors and got everything ergonomically adjusted to me...I also put my OverSuspension unit on there, and made some suspension adjustments

then ride it for 4 hours, now all I want to do is grab a quick bite and head right back out lol

I’m not changing a single thing on this bike, it’s perfect
