@ jjmontesanto: nope no pics didn't think of it while I did it. I may switch it back and definitely take pictures. And yeah I'm in 101st out of Campbell. @ littlejohn: he's not that big its really not to heavy of a lift :)

Cool, thanks man. I'm at Bragg now, not in the deuce thankfully. I still wear old Abe on my right shoulder, watching my back!

My dealer actually asked me which setting i wanted. The bike wont be in until the 21st. I told him p, from what everyone is stating this sounds like the way to go. Is this the right choice?

My dealer was encouraging me to stick to F. They said P was only needed for carrying pillions. I'm going to ignore them and go with P at the 600 mile service, as per the recommendation of Rich at Austin Racing.

Seriously.
How fkn dumb or slack is your dealer?

Hey babe, wanna go for a ride?
Just gotta swing past Ducati so they can set it up for us.
Oh, and, on the way back when we're done.

As if it is JUST for riding with a pillion.

So looks like you've taken the bolt out and then what?

Swap the linkage around then put the bolt back in?

you must lenghten rod end to next slot to run "P"

just showing the 2 grooves, you must take the pinch bolt all the way before adjusting
cheers

Read manual

Because apparently, P is for ... Pillion :)

And because most people won't ride with one, they suggest T, which is for ... Awesome-er.

Ducati really did balls that simple setting up by the looks of it.

"P" is not for pillon (US passenger) its for performance as listed in your owners manual. And it doesn't lengthen your ride height either as another "mate" mentioned.

Perhaps I am missing some irony here, but I am 99% sure the copy owners manual I downloaded says P is for pillion. Will check tonight.

Just to ease that other 1% out of your mind:

Changing the motorcycle track alignment
(fig. 154, fig. 155)
Motorcycle setup is the result of tests carried out
under different riding conditions by our technical
staff.

Modifying factory setting is a very delicate operation,
which may lead to serious damage if performed by
someone who is unskilled. The rider can modify setup according to his/her
needs by changing working position of the shock
absorber.

Important
The FLAT position (F)
allows for different track
alignment, as on the racing versions.

The PROGRESSIVE position (P) is recommended
with a passenger aboard.

WarningUsing the vehicle set to Flat with a passenger
aboard may result in vehicle instability.

WarningHave the track alignment set at a Ducati Dealer
or Authorized Service Center.

You are very welcome man. I want mine done asap but don't have true faith in completing this change in 10 minutes! Will just have them do it in 100 miles during first service along with all my other mods waiting on my arrival. Just want some shorty levers and hot rear sets to complete the package for my expensive taste as I continue to live beyond my means!
