On what setting did you have your ABS. The Paní's ABS is so good that it will allow you to lift your rear wheel a foot or more while being hard on the brakes. It just keeps you from flipping so I find it hard to understand that it took braking force away?

It was on what ever it defaults to in Race mode, setting 1 I think. I recall braking hard and the lever felt as though it was being pushed away from me and the It was enough to think.. Shiiiiiiiit

I could not pull the lever further, obviously this all happened really quickly but it was enough to make me wary

The TC is handy in helping to reduce wheelies. At my age, wheelies are more of an annoyance than cool like when I was in my 20's.

Not sure that the TC has anything to do with reducing wheelies so don't rely on it for that or you may end up on your arse.
wheelie control is new on the 1299 though.

I'm enjoying the EBC. Its way too much for me on settings 1 and 2, so great to be able to back it off a bit.

Quick up AND down shifter (currently TuneBoy installed).

I've locked up the rear twice as I thought I was going to get hit by a SD Red Trolley bus both times which turned out in front of me. SO indifferent about ABS. Maybe in the rain it's nice (it never rains in SoCal).
