Wouldn't that offend the vast majority of Canadians if you did that?

Well since there are a few teams in Canada, world does qualify for a series
If you like, we can change the name to: The "North American Series" instead of "World Series"?

There hasn't been a few teams in Canada for a while. The Montreal Expos moved to D.C. ten years ago. Only the Blue Jays remain...

I don't normally post, I just lurk and learn but I found this thread interesting! I have had a steady state surge issue that was annoying, but I thought it to be part of the beast. After reading this thread a friend and I took our bikes to a "So Cal Dealer" last Saturday and asked about an update. The service writer had no knowledge of an update, but both of our bikes took a download. My 2013 S was up to date as of my prior service visit in December. The download took about 15 minutes and the bike is MUCH smoother; I would agree that the download is a transformation.

Thank you for your input.

I'm very happy that it's also equally available to the US customers:)

We can all benefit and enjoy our bikes much more;)
So far that's 4 of us who are on the way to 1199 heaven.
I've been riding mine all weekend and the change is wonderful.
I now find that I can more confidently carry much more speed into the corners and through the corners. Maybe >15% more speed on the approach.
Obviously it follows one can get on the power a little earlier as well due to having better control:)

My assessment from the seat of the pants dyno, suggested the dip in the power curve between 5000 - 7000 rpm is nicely filled in somewhat.
It just seems as though revving out through the mid range and on to 7000 + rpm was a lot smoother and less of a noticeable bump up in the available power when revving it out.

Would you concur?

As I've said earlier, I would like to see the results of a dyno run with this new update.

Definitely the case. When riding on the freeway or in any situation where I was at a fixed throttle I would get surging. I also had a dip in the midrange as you mentioned. This update has made the bike MUCH smoother. The dip in particular is much less. My bike has the stock exhaust by the way, with no butterfly valve. My friends bike has the full Termi aystem with the racing evo software, and it too was improved.

Thanks for the confirmation:)
I only have the Termi Slip-ons;)

Enjoy:D

I wonder why my ducati dealer (GP bikes) up here in Toronto Canada told me there wasn't any new software update and my bike is all up to date...

I want this update....i hope there is a way to get it up here...

Ummmm"¦.Cause it doesn't exist"¦That was an old update his bike didn't have"¦.helloooooooo

It's not likely that my bike was down an update as it was last in for service in December. That is unless my dealer blew me off in December and did not check it at that time. According to the dealer my bike was current in December and I watched it take the new download Saturday.

No, it's new alright.
WAF was tipped off about it a few weeks ago by a representative of NFI.
He originally/dutifully told us here on the forum about it back then, but couldn't get it done until today's date(or something like that).

I just happen to get it before him last Thursday because I was in getting the last recall done.
My tech didn't know about it either when I asked him about updates, and it wouldn't have happened if he didn't kindly oblige me by putting it on the computer to check out of curiosity.
Naturally he was more surprised than I was about it, as they hadn't received notification about it.
I personally was more surprised about how long it took to install.
I've had all the updates so far(except the 41 tooth sprocket update) and this one took the longest to install out of them all. I was present for the installation of all the updates to date.
The other thing I noted about this one, was it is the only update that didn't require the ignition to be turned off and back on periodically when instructed/prompted by the computer.
The install itself was totally automatic from start to finish.

This update is very different.
And it's effects are clearly quite profound:)

Anybody who hasn't got it, is missing out bigtime;)

Hoping this update solves my high idle issue. Will know soon....

Hey Brad....are you being paid on a per post basis???:D

I'm trying to catch up to you mate:eek:

But seriously, this update is a profound change from anything we've had so far.
And I'm quite excited about the difference it makes.
I'm not that easily excited about things, but this is HUGE.

As a committed member of this forum I see it as my duty/responsibility to help others here to get the most out of these wonderful bikes:)

I don't start a thread very often, and when I do it's because I think the subject is important enough to warrant a thread.

Anyway this is my tread and i'll post if I want to, post if I want to:p
You would post to, if you had the update too

It's not so much a cause.

I just want everybody to share.
That's all.

Unfortunately there are people here who are knockers. (For what ever reason)

So with this being "my thread".
I feel it's my responsibility to help motivate those who need it the most to get the best out of their bike. As a responsible contributor, and as a matter of protocol, I suppose.

That even includes the knockers:eek:
Then again, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink:(

Party on:)

Yup, and we are all falling for it.

See me running to get to the dealer to put it on the machine ?

NOLA.
