Just saw the 1299 ...

Just back from the presentation of the Ducati dealer in Milan.
The bike is awesome!

Have a look!

I'll have it mid of March!

Finally backed up.. I won't put a deposit nor buy the first wave. I'll be waiting for the second wave with hopefully different colors like a tri-color. I will enjoy the 899 meanwhile...

Tricolore versions of the bikes are for the first model version only. As the 1299S is an evolution rather than a new platform then I doubt a Tricolore version will be available.

what is the point of the card and logging into the website?

It's like the most useless thing i've ever done.

Am I missing something?

just curious... anyone recall if the 2012 1199 models were sold out before summer of 2012? what do you think the chances are for 2015 1299 to sell out before summer hits??

I am crazy but regardless im seriously thinking about the 14r

+1 on a 2014 R over a 2015 S. :) Plenty of deals to be had, particularly on used Rs that have barely been ridden!

Me, I'm going to continue to ride my 2012 S and rack up the miles. I cannot see ever selling it. It was fabulous as a part-time track bike this summer (7 track days!) and if it ever was replaced as a street bike, I would just convert it to a full-time tack bike.
I swore I would not sell another bike just because I wanted a new one. We'll see how that works out; its all a matter of future cash flow and storage capacity.

Sell through varied by dealer; in total, there was (and may be still are) 2012 1199 models available right through to 2013. I recall significant factory and dealer incentives.
I was one of the first around here (USA) that I know of to pick up a 2012 (May 4th) and so I paid full MSRP, but got off on the PDI and had $750 break on the full Termi system and free installation by bundling that with the original bike purchase.
Perhaps it was because it was the first season with a brand new model; but they estimated an April delivery and most did not get their bike until the end of May/June.

With the 1199s, one could get the S with a full system and buy quality, aftermarket Tri-colour fairings for cheap. Ducati 1199 Panigale Bodywork Motorcycle Fairings

I am sure you will be able to do the same for the 1299s once the aftermarket has had time to respond.
