Are they actually lights?? I thought they were just painted on to look more like the stock bike.

New rules for this year to have the tail and head lights same as production bikes. Doesn't say they have to work but that tail light if functioning is probably going to cause havoc something that these racers will to get use to I guess.

Check out how much fork is extending through that triple clamp that bike must be low to the ground.

We need a new thread for these pictures!

Yeah, that'll definitely make the bike turn in even faster, but it'll be less stable. I wonder if the triple clamps are the stock geometry as well.

I believe I'm qualified to respond to this, being that I think I still hold the record for someone who has put more miles on a Panigale than anyone else in the world. And, modesty aside, my tolerance for both immediate and chronic pain is something no one could contest and few still alive could best.

It doesn't take a pussy to think bike is ....... hot. It's not whining or a bitchy complaint--it's hot as ..... I've put hours on it in triple digit temps. I've had some bad (and visible) burns to show for it. It's masochistic. I still wouldn't choose any other bike to ride, but that doesn't mean that a 5 or 10 or 25 percent decrease in heat wouldn't make the experience better.

AntiHero, you are indeed the most experienced person on this forum and I for one agree with every single comment you make.

Caliduc - ONE persons opinion. There are several to both sides. It dosen't take 15,000 miles to get up to temp, so time spent on this bike gives no more weight then someone that took it for Sunday drive. Bottom line, the heat affects some people more than others, and Ducati is doing their best to correct it.

Heat affects some people more than others because of difference in locations and weather? :D

I thought the latest peer reviewed research suggested it had more to do with thigh thickness and overall girth? Maybe we need a new thread to explore the heat issue in greater detail?

Its probably many factors - heatshield/exhaust/seat combo, heat, humidity, riding stance, speed, number of stops, and how much attention you give it while riding, and the need to express it on a forum :D

Not forgetting traffic, and filtering (lane splitting).

Yup, new thread for SBK pics, except for giant heat shield ones... ;)

Front "lights" look painted, but those rears probably just have the lenses in. Not gonna function. As for the fork length, it doesn't mean they're running it low, just means the tubes are long as hell to suit whatever they might be mounted on. Has nobody noticed the squared-off left fork tube upper with the built-in cable guides? Oops, not heat related! :p

I saw a good quote "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" They are trying to get the bikes to look more like the real thing - kinda NASCAR like... So stickers that look like the headlights is the new req - no glass, just a decal.

I'm sure it also depends on whether you are carrying a concealed weapon or not.
