Is that a dry clutch or just a cover of some sort?

I believe it is indeed a dry clutch. It the same style as the Ducati Corse WSBK Slipper Clutch (4 stud adjustment) - Aluminum Basket with Aluminum plates and I also see the bike has Brembo RCS Master levers .. hmm seems a lot like my 1098 configuration. Except he has his Brembo GP4-RX Calipers .. and I am waiting for mine ..

EDIT : Just confirmed it is indeed a Dry Clutch.

(from a german forum - they were laughing and saying that must be the US version to prevent ducati getting sued ;-)

Jeeze Phil, could you upload a bigger pic? :)

I hope someone comes out with CF versions real fast! I know certain people that hate the heat and love their CF, so they are going to be really torn on what to do! :D

wait... :D

lol - kiddin'... i just found this but cannot resize it!

CF is the way to go!

looks like the new heat shield has a separate piece that runs the length of undertail section. if this is the case, a lot of us may need to change out our tail tidy's etc......!

You're right, looks like a vent maybe, that is where the cylinder heat escapes.

I feel sorry for the guys who buys a new bike with this installed. To everyone who bought the Full Termi... I hope you held on to your old heat shield because the price on them has just went up!

i'm very torn. I wrapped my pipes and made a version of the "Albert Mod" cant really tell if it'll hold up once temps get into the 70-80's. The new Ducati heatshield- very torn on it, dont really like the look, but i dont want to deal with the heat in the summer either. maybe the new design will grow on us.

The thing is, when someone walks in and buys a new Pani, they will want it for how it looks then. The people to feel sorry for, are then ones that are truely bothered by the heat, and have to install this, making this a different looking bike than they bought.

This looks like a time consuming install, and I wonder if there is a time limit for the dealer to install free (probably the warranty period), or we can just hang on to the parts till we sell it, and let the buyer decide if he wants it. At this point I'd rather be hot.

I would have too. So I just have to hope that after it is on for awhiile I'll forget about how it used to look and grow into it and forget about it. And I think on the resale, if they never owned one, you'll be better off having the mod as they won't know the difference, but may be concerned about the 1000 blogs about the heat. I'll be putting it on when it comes in.

The way I see it, the bike's right side is up against the garage wall, I mount/dismount from the left, so I would rarely see it. But I need to heat to be unbearable first, so I'll probably just hang on to the parts for a season and see.

That's the way I fixed the smoke problem.....I only start the motor when sitting on the bike and looking forward, never seen a single puff.;)
