Heat issues, addressed today by Ducati!

You have a point jimvee. At 72 degrees and below, the heat is fine and as it gets colder it is actually welcome.

80's & 90's and different story. Very hot bike...

Can you refuse to have the new heat shield installed? I have no problem with the heat. We are sitting on an engine!

I have never had a heat issue, so I"ll wait to see the parts. If they don't look good, I'm going to pass.

In short, Ducati has responded to some customer complaints about excessive heat and will be implementing a solution shortly. Please check with your dealer but until then if the bike becomes too uncomfortable to ride, pull over.

It said a bunch of little girls were whining to them about it being too hot at times, so they're gonna put a more heat resistant/reflective diaper on the bike.....

jk jk, they just acknowledged the heat problem and said they have a fix for it that should solve it. We'll see what it looks like soon hopefully!

I will look out for the letter myself. I am anxious to see the final product but hopefully it is artfully done with grace as the 1199 has been created in the first place.

I haven't had this letter and I can't see a post from anyone outside North America that has either. My dealer checked for news from Ducati about this and found nothing. Is this letter only going to North American owners? Anyone in Europe had a letter?

Ducati dont care about anyone but in america because we tend to bitch more than other countries. Sorry.

Here in Sydney no news from the dealer yet....btw 2 weeks ago I rode with an air temp of 45 degrees....PAINFUL!
