If you haven't seen it already, EDR has picked up RB and has some comments on their FB page today after working an 1199r on the dyno with it.

Does the Rapidbike Race module also map each gear individually as my PCV with Autotune does?
On the Ducatis, there is no gear postion sensor (externally), so if RB cannot read the sensor signal, it wont use it. Unlike PC5, which guesses what gear you are in.
YTURAN, surely the amount of advance has to be related to the quality and octane rating of the gasoline being used? For instance, here in California, we only have 91 octane gas and it has varying levels of ethanol in it and is also sometimes oxygenated. How can the guys program the unit to allow for local gasoline issues?Yes, whatever you do with the bike, RB will adapt, even if you don't have the correct base map in the case of having RB EVO on your bike. However if you have RB Racing module, each specific base map comes with specific ignition mapping as well and there are some differences between the maps where RB does not adjust as it does with fueling part of the system.
Thanks
Octane of fuel has a very little effect on the tune and when i say that we are talkin g 89 vs 93 as far as afr goes, what makes a difference is the level of oxygenation and ethanol , more of those 2 will cause bike to run which rb can detect BUT , if the politics decide to go over more than 10% , rb tune ned to be checked, that is why we don't sell or ship to brasil, they have 25% ethanol in their fuel and rb has to be adjusted on the dyno. As far as ignition timing goes, all rb maps have been tested and the number are in safe levels, but if one wants to to if you can get more out of it, again dyno check is your best best.YTURAN, surely the amount of advance has to be related to the quality and octane rating of the gasoline being used? No rb does not alter or interfere with TC at all.I'm maybe asking something stupid, but I'm looking forward to buy a full Akrapovic or full Termignoni (the new one without upmap) so I will need a new map. My question is if RB does interfere with the standard Panigale TC? If I understand correctly my ECU adjusts first ignition and if it's not enough it adjusts additionally fuelling if it detects wheelspin. Could RB detect the fuelling adjustments made by the ECU under hard wheelspin as the bike running to lean and therefore void traction control?
What Eric is saying is, if you happen to open the throttle to wide open below 7500 rpm , butterflies don't go to 100% until bike passes 7500 and speed of opening is not as fast as you are opening the throttle.Anyone else notice this comment from EDR on that dyno chart? First I am hearing of the Panigale having a throttle restriction. Dorn knows his stuff.
EDRPERFORMANCE Throttle! Oem Ecu doesn't allow full true 1:1 throttle until after 7,500rpm! It's poorly designed but possibly to help EPA or save trans wear or detonation control but it's bad. Wish 1:1 or at least a more linear execution.
Well...... i figured out what the issue is. dimsport have been fantastic but after not getting anywhere with any of their solutions they provided i decided to open up the module to have a look inside.
what did i find?
Drum roll please!!
NOTHING!
thats right no chip inside the module.
my cheap ebay deal has turned into a expensive lesson.
