I will have sprocket/chain upgrade done this week

Yeah, you can see at the bottom, the 15/41 has more longevity than the 14/39 in terms of wear.

You blinded us with science....

Yea, we're kinda seat-of-the pants guys. All that ratio, math, magic confuses us. :) Yes, technically, it knows the RPMs, and knows the speed it is attaining, but it does not know how many teeth are on each socket. I can't believe there is a new map that all of a sudden is making changes based on a differnece of speed/RPM.

My money is on that it adjusts the DTC profile for the rear wheel with the larger sprocket.

but i don't think that if say i would go for a 14t front and the rear stays 39 AND i get the new upmap for the 41t.. that my bike would behave wrong :p or do you guys believe so?

i have the mapping from termignoni from april-may 2012.. so i believe my map upgrade will be better anyway? more power?

Why would you do this? It would do nothing for you. The new ECU flash is much better...

what would do nothing for me ? i thought that these adjustments in the new mapping were for the 41T rear... so what i meant was will my bike drive correct if i will use this New upmap (with what i thought these adjustments) .

i don't think it will be that big of a deal?

but i will get a better mapping for sure if i understand you? :)

Lol, you're making my head hurt. I'll try one more time.

There is an ECU update that improves the mapping and QS functionality.

There is an ECU update that adjusts the DTC map for a 41T rear. (If our impressions are correct.)

hahah mine as well :p hahaha.

Anyway it wel get Better than it is now because i go -1 in front (more low-mid power)
and with the new up-map it wil get even stronger... for as far as i understand from you haha.

i have the pani with slip-ons + MWR airfilter.

Look bottom line?

Front sprocket is way cheaper of a mod. I did both and went up in the back because I wanted a 520 kit and it's easier to swap rear sprockets with a QC than the front. If you are going to keep the stock chain etc, just get the 14t and be done with it.

OK - LATEST SKINNY

The new map is already at some dealers (mine) and available to load.

It takes advantage of the faster reving caused by the 41T, but will supposedly work fine with the 39T

My 14/39 is nearly identical to the 15/41

Since this is an optional change (unlike the heat shield), there is a cost:
Map: $30
Chain $121
Sprocket $??

I will probably pay the $30 for the mapping to take advantage of Ducati's suggestion, as you can get whether you buy the chain/sprocket or not.

My dealer (who is always right lol), said that last upmap IS the upmap. There isn't yet another. Chains available with the 2 extra links $121.

My guy seems confused I will interrogate him when I get there lol.

I don't lie. That's what he told me. He is a friend, probably doesn't like you. When I get it installed, I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm playing with you, and maybe he's wrong? I called a few other shops.
