I've heard at least a half dozen forum members mention that they own or have owned a 675. It's a night and day difference with the Pani. I haven't had a chance to really shake it down yet, but I'm pretty happy so far. It is taking some getting used to. The best way to describe the steering is just "weird". I am a fan of how the power is delivered though.

My previous ride. Loved it. Missed the superbike thing.

i have two one which was worked on and the engine blew a few months back, the other is basically brand new a 2012 SE model with the blue frame and only 800 miles but i need the motor so selling it for $3000 with no motor and a bill of parts.

I used to have the same blue framed SE but mine was a 2010. Awesome bike. Only problem I ever had with it was a regulator rectifier which was a recall. Bike died on the fwy in the middle of bumper to bumper evening traffic. That was the best day of my life.

My Son blew his 675 up by doing an extended wheelie. I broke the engine down and posted videos on YouTube of the disassembly.

This is the first of 10 short videos, they should be all grouped close together on my youTube channel.

Video 10, I do a valve adjustment/check on the new engine.

We bought a used engine, or at least my Son did. We found a few things Triumph did from 2007 on.

First, they replaced the sump gasket from a perimeter style to a sheet. The oil pick up is in the front of the sump. When wheelie'd, the oil pick up will be sucking air as the oil flow to the back of the sump. With the sheet style gasket, this limits where the oil can go and keeps oil pick up immersed in the oil. They also shortened the oil dip stick, which means you also put almost a quart more oil in the bike.

Thanks Chris, I have yet to take the engine apart to examine it but the rear wheel locked up coming into the braking zone at the end of a straight. the bike was not over revved so I have no idea what happened, and I bought the bike I posted as it is very clean and only has small miles on it. I just need to now sell it.

Here is a picture of my first Daytona, along with my old 1098. Then my current Daytona 675R with my Panigale when I first brought it home. The 675R now has Panigale front calipers and brembo RCS 17 master, and is normally sporting BST wheels for track and more performance orientated street riding.,

Here's ours... Well, mostly my Wife's; I gave it to her as a wedding gift.

QUOTE]

Mk1 GT2 tucked away in the background, I came very close to buying one of them many moons ago.
That was always my dream car and it didn't disappoint; a freaking beast that needed every single piece of driving skill I possessed and by far my favorite car I have ever owned. I spent a couple of years tracking the car and once I got it set up, it wiped the floor with everything I ran into.

People used to follow me until I stopped at a gas station, just because they wanted to talk about it, or because they had never seen one in person before (in 2003 they only bought 67 GT2's into the USA) THE Widowmaker as it was called. Damn I miss that car.

I sold it, because tracking it was BRUTALLY expensive and I didn't drive it as much as I should have; the motorcycles always got the nod for my weekend blast. I eventually sold it for a $30K profit.... :D

I may of gone overboard during a cleaning session! I'd load more pics but I can only seem to do 1 per post.
