More delays in the US??? Anyone taken delivery of S or Standard in the US

My dealer had about 6 S's lined up out front, one inside the store and mine on the lift being prepped when I was there last friday. Also had one Tri outside too. Three of us picked them up on saturday morning while I was there. I believe they arrived there prior to the opening night unveil 2 fridays ago because they called me the following monday I believe, telling me that mine was already there.

Was it around 4:30pm? If so, I was in there changing my S to a Tri. Spent alot of time drooling over the Tri they just got in. While there someone was taking delivery.

Hey Kman, yeah I think we both go to the same dealer. They got 10 S models and 1 Tri and they arrived before the cocktail reception unveiling party Friday 4/27, which I attended. I could have snagged one of the S models, but am holding out for a Base ABS. I told them to give that bike to you. ;) lol jk. I was told that 60 bikes were delivered into the U.S. for the opening, mostly going to dealers in the Northeast region. Now all Ducati has to do is deliver my Base ABS and things will be cool. [come on Gabriele, do a pisan a favor :D].
 
I picked up my 1199s w/ ABS in seattle last Saturday and the only other bikes they had at the time were one demo without ABS and one tricolore that was getting prepped for pickup.

hahaha yup same place I imagine. I put my deposit down in November if I remember correctly. It's been a long wait and I almost backed out. I got the invite for the cocktail party but forgot all about it until about 7:30 that night when I got home from work. So I was not about to try to make it up. Wish I had though. Hit me up when you take delivery and maybe we can head out some wknd this summer.
 
New here, had a deposit on a base no abs for some months. Dealer told me the delivery would be same as everyone else is saying. Realistically I'm not looking at anything til sometime in June.

I'm actually thinking of cancelling and maybe getting a hyper evo sp. As I've already got an rsv4 and so far it seems in the tests the ape is at least as good overall as the pani, so I'm kinda losing interest.

I'm third in line for S with ABS. 1st has come and gone and second was shipped last week so hopefully mine shouldn't be too far behind. My dealer also hosted the Ducati N America dealers track day. They "hid" 20 machines from the public so you'd think this dealer might be getting some sort of priority but dealer says they only get to know when bikes are coming in once they've been shipped. Good job Ducati engineers not in same Dept as logistics!!?!?

No, I was in there around noon. Why did you decide to change to the Tri? Not a bad choice at all, BTW. Just curious.
 
I was told by my dealer today that they were informed that my base model shipped from Italy today. They said they expect it in their dealership the week of the 21st. Still won't believe it until I get the call saying it is there.

I was getting ABS on my S and I knew I would end up buying Termi's in the future so it came down to a 2k diff. The remaining 2k is for the DDA, which is more of a gadget thing that I'm sure I wont use often, and the paint. Seeing one in person sealed it for me.
 
just got a conformation on my base from dealer ........it as been shiped so lets see how long it takes

Do you know how many base models they got coming? I was told my dealer has 4 base coming and more S's also.
 
I picked up my S ABS on Thursday, May 3rd. Donelson Cylces (St. Louis, MO) is expecting another S (no ABS) very soon and two base models. None are spoken for.
 
From what my dealer has said, (Redline Motorsports in VA) they are allocated to receive 4 base models for the month of May ... I wont get too excited until I lay eyes on bike!!

nice. I'm in St. Louis as well... Was going to get one from Moto Europa on Locust... They are getting couple base models end of the month

UPDATE - I took delivery of my bike last Thursday, have 193 miles, it's low on oil (but was told to check it) and the smoke is still present on initial start up...
 
My dealer called today, and I said mine should be here within 2 weeks.

He just received notification.:D
