This is getting into the weeds but…

The 23+ V4R clutch is 1.7 lbs (not 4 lbs) lighter than the previous gen R clutch according to Ducati marketing. Or are you saying the new R dry clutch assembly is 4 lbs lighter than a wet clutch assembly? Did you weigh your wet clutch vs the old dry clutch when you installed it? Isn’t your V4 a Foggy and has a dry clutch already installed from factory?

Oddly, the R oil capacity is 3.8 L vs the 1103 motors 3.4 or about 0.9 lbs of oil

I wonder if the sump is different. I'm thinking both the pressure and scavenge sides of the R pumps have more capacity. Getting the oil back out of the heads at 16K has to be harder so maybe a little extra capacity in the sump?

57k € for the "regular" Tricolore and 86k € for the Tricolore Italia according to the latest price list.
If I were to guess the Tricolore Italia is going to be fully decked out with all the optional bits, but the regular Tricolore is going to be just a livery for which they'll charge 20k €. I mean... Maserati charges 17k € for a custom funky 15 something layers pearlescent matte paint job, they're clearly doing something wrong if a set of fairings is more expensive.

When is the regular one coming out ?

Cool, 1.7 pounds of rotating mass reduction, I’ll take it! ;-)

So some annoying things in ordering this bike.

1st, as Spooky says you can’t elect the DVAC Race Pro software without the $8500 exhaust, however the race silencers option says it has a dedicated map, so need to understand exactly what’s in that…if it essentially has the same control functions without the ‘race’ screen configuration that’s cool, but can’t tell from the wording on the post.

2nd issue is that the standard rearsets look like they suck balls, and the upgraded ones don’t look as good as some aftermarket ones that are likely to come out like Attack Performance etc. but they are absurdly priced at $1800 or $1600. The main issue though, is that if you look at the pics, each type of rearset with each type of exhaust looks to be using a different rear brake MC configuration…which will became a big barrier to entry for aftermarket rearsets for the bike.

None of that is a deal breaker, but kind of a concern point.

Especially the rearsets, as it will increase the R&D time for aftermarket stuff, which means you either have to pay $1800 for just average quality rearsets from Ducati, or run the really crappy ones until better after market stuff comes out, which could be awhile.

I need to find out if that wiz bang rear brake electronic system is programmed different based on the rear brake MC that comes with the rear set selection you make. Because on the surface there appears to be a POSSIBILITY that you ONLY get the best electronics setup as IF you get the full race exhaust $8500, with the full race rearsets $1800, and the DVAC Race Pro electronics suite $850. I did confirm that you get the rear brake stuff with the V4 base suspension, but I need clarification on EXACTLY what you get electronically with the different exhaust and rearset combos…because the auto rear brake function is cool but is it still cool if you have to spend an extra $13,000 to get that one functionality (includes labor cost for exhaust install)

That's strange with the different master cylinder in pic 2 but it appears all photo shopped anyway as the tyre and chain are in the exact positions on each pic as is the background.

Agree, these are some real concerns especially rearsets

It is odd. 'Race' rearsets only with the full exhaust, slicks software only with the full exhaust... it's almost like they are trying to make you spend as much money as possible...

Their rearsets are ridiculously priced and won't be as good as aftermarket anyway, but as mentioned above, it's quite an investment for aftermarket manufacturers to make for what is likely to be a fairly small market, so maybe the prices will be higher due to lower numbers being produced, and I wouldn't be surprised if it takes some time for them to produce rearsets for the low exhaust.

The rearsets are more of a concern to me than the slicks software.

Configurator pictures.

@Steven31371

Spider have told me that they will be producing two different rearsets, like Ducati are doing - one in reverse shift for the full exhaust and one that can be in road or reverse shift for the low or OEM exhaust.

He said they will be ready for EICMA but I don't know if that's just the race ones or both.

I also don't know if they are fixed pegs for the 'road' setup...

It seems odd for Ducati to create the need for two different rearsets, depending on the exhaust used...
