There's increased speculation about the debut of the 2025 HONDA CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE's makeover.
Just hearsay, BS, balderdash or maybe. Your pick.
Regardless, It's a nice photoshopped concept job.
If only the Italians were as good designers as the Japaneses! ......Wait what ???

Isn't that the 2024?
Sometimes there a discrepancy in model years between Europe and America.
Notwithstanding, I posted for entertainment reasons.

The 2024 model for the US was the previous gen (SC82 I think it’s called) that was released in 22. For 2025, the US gets the Fireblade that was released this earlier this year but I don’t think has arrived anywhere.

Absolutely, if you dont like the 25 Pani thats just fine- dont buy one or sell your SSSA model in protest as if anyone cares.... but please take your Honda hard on to the blade forums

Guys, lighten-up.
The purpose of the photo was to entertain what is otherwise a polarizing thread topic.
Moreover, no comments about what should have been obvious. The lower half of the Photoshop is a Panigale V2.

No one is putting the Honda down, but its not Ducati and this isn't a Honda forum so posting photoshopped fantasies is a waste of time.

Until the 25 comes out and people experience it a lot of the commentary is babble. Motorcycling moves on, Ducati is the tip of the spear in MotoGP and those lessons improve the bikes we ride. Absolutely the 25 will be better in every way, you can argue about aesthetics but the bike will be a technological work of art. How does Honda fit in? Well for a start Hondas make absolutely superb quality bikes arguably better than Ducati in many respects and the differences in performance on the street or even the track will be minimal, but a Ducati is still a Ducati and it has a certain DNA that gives a feeling that you cant get anywhere else. Less so with the 4's compared with the big twins but its still there and thats one of the reasons why we love the brand, thats something Honda cant replicate.

Good synopsis of the 24 v 25

I know I’m beating a dead horse but if you don’t think this was an accounting experiment, then why did Ducati go away from Marchesini branded forged wheels on the S model? Bringing the wheels “in house” (ironically I’d bet they’re outsourcing them to China) allows them to recoup even more margins. I’d also argue that the fairing design is simpler (less vents and complex shapes) and cheaper to manufacturer. Also interesting that they’re charging $2k more for the 25 S model when the base model only increases $1k year-over-year. They’re really trying to squeeze their customers. Shenanigans.

Odd that they mention using the SL shift drum… Anyone know what’s so special about the SL transmission? Maybe it’s a bit more durable?

Great marketing strategy to bend over your customers. Though I’m not surprised. Ducatisti aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed as evidence this forum haha 😂

If you think the increase in price is bad for the S, it’s going to be even worse for the R. Not sure how you rationalize ponying up $45k+ to race amateurs or do trackdays when there’s cheaper and more competitive machinery out there. Who’s really the fool?

Living proof they aren't. R is price capped by FIM rules at 44k 😎

Only a grand more for all that new technology, extremely good value and as Karl suggests no point paying a premium for the S when the 25 base with a set of good wheels and a shock is all you need for the track.

You drink too much… $3k for wheels + $3k for suspension added to the base price $26k so $32k (not including labor/time/frustration). An S costs $33k and has EC 3.0 and is easier to setup. So not sure where you’re coming up with this value proposition.

I’m glad I got in at $30k bc no way I’d be paying $34k for this debatably minor update. Just for comparison, if this price increase was for inflation only it’d be 7.5% or what you’re paying for a 24 model. But you’re actually paying 13% more for the 25 S so 5.5% of that difference is easy margin.

The more I look into Ducati’s financial, the more you see the greed. 2019 7%, 2020 4% (pandemic), 2021 7%, 2022 10% (that’s with rampant inflation), 2023 10.5%. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re targeting 12-15% margins in 2025. Will be interesting to see 24’s financial statement.

Man, this 25 bike has made me cynical…
