Congrats the pull from 8k up is VISCERAL! I was screaming to the top of my lungs the first time I did it. Its insane. At one point I forgot how to ride cause all I could focus on is holding on for dear life. She is a beauty and a beast. Again Congrats!

actually i did the math with the services oil change etc it costs about .50 a mile to ride a ducati panigale.
 
Congrats, riding it and the smile it gives you it what it's all about. Hope you guys have nice weather soon so you can actually enjoy it.

That's because you don't live in Quebec! My annual license plate alone will cost $1156 , plus insurance of $1250 (plus 9% tax ) for an approximate total of $2500 just to get it on the road ( I'm 55 with near 40 years riding experience and a spotless driving record). Then add on the 15% sales tax to the purchase of the 1299...
With premium gas at $1.30+ / liter, or $4.94 per US gallon here, you're also paying huge taxes on fuel ( ok, our dollar has dropped below par with the US$, but still..) which add to the oprating cost. Taxes here are the largest single expenditure in motorcycling.

She is officially home and spanking has begun. Could only get 44 miles today as we still have some ice on the road. But tomorrow it will be 60 degrees so many more.

I have to say she is completely and utterly 100% more powerful than any other bike I've ever owned. The sound on DS is awesome its like demons singing. She handles like a razorblade. She wants to go fast and wants to make you go faster the whole time. The QS is flawless as far as I can say but it's my first bike with it.

I can for once say I have all the bike I need as she scares the .... out of me already. Can't until after the 600mile service and a track day
