We offer a service to convert an electronic 1199S/1299S Ohlins TTX shock to manual adjusters for installation on a 1199/1299 base model, or 899/959! If you can score a deal on a used shock from a Panigale S model, and have this conversion performed, you'll be into a TTX for your Panigale for much less than the cost of a new TTXGP shock, and you'll have a nearly identical end product as far as functionality!

This is available through the Ducati Omaha Service Department

Base cost for the conversion is $350, plus additional cost if the shock needs a new sealhead or you need a different spring rate on it.

Contact us at [email protected] to arrange sending your shock in. We also have spares on hand from time to time, so if you don't have a shock yet check with us and we might have one available.

Sweet!
What an awesome service.

And to know your be running fresh oil is a huge plus when buying used shock.

Our service guys put up a big gallery on Facebook showing what all goes into performing the conversion of electronic adjusters to manual adjusters on the Ohlins TTX Panigale rear shock. Enjoy!

Jarel,

I've been putting this off for some unknown reason. My bike is slowly being built and I might as well pull the trigger on the conversion.

I just wanted to ask a quick question if you don't mind. I have a new spring (that I previously bought from you) that I'll ship to you guys with it,... Is the cost of the actual new hardware (manual clickers, oil, etc. etc.) included in that $350? Or is that solely the labor rate?

I just want to make sure I'm staying on budget for my 899 Hybrid build.

Thanks again!

Yes, the $350 includes standard parts and labor for the conversion. If the shock has a damaged seal, that would be additional to replace, as well as purchasing a new spring if you need one. If you already have the spring and send it along the shock, there is no additional charge to install it since we'll be disassembling the shock to do the conversion anyway.

You're the man! Thank you!!

Received a lot of message about this recently, YES we do still offer the service to convert an EC Ohlins shock over to manual adjusters, see here:

Ducati Omaha Ohlins EC-To-Manual TTX Conversion

So if you find a good deal on an OEM take-off TTX shock from an S-Model and want to install on your standard model 1199/1299 or 899/959, OR if you HAVE an S-Model but are using the bike primarily for track use and want to ditch the electronics, we can help.

Hi Jarel, do you still do this conversion by chance?

Kind Regards,
David

@jarelj hasn't been active here in quite some time. He was affiliated with Ducati Omaha, so perhaps just calling their service center will get you an answer. Ohlins USA, IIRC, will do these conversations as well.
