Panidici

I think Desmogale flows a bit better than panidici. :)

I appreciate the effort, but not my thing, I think the pani is one of the most striking superbikes ever built, shared with the Desmosedici of course...

It is weird how sometimes two ugly people can make beautiful kids, but in this case two beautiful bikes made one ugly baby

I feel a 1098 front end would be superior...but awesome work regardless

The kraaitech plug worked just fine except that I had to cut a hole in the bellypan and reshape the bottom with some carbon fiber. The plug now protrudes a bit into the rubber plug but it fits perfect.

..... Nice ....... job. I think it looks kind of strange, but it would be a lot easier to hide from the wind at 180mph behind that.

Care to elaborate as to how you mated the two over a three month period? The end result belies the difficulty I'd imagine was associated with such effort.

They probably didn't get along in the beginning. i always find it hard to mate when there are disagreements.

Seems that the forum has changed its appearance and i wasn't able to post. Not that i had much to tell. However...the race season is finished and i made a reasonable progress on the bike. I wasn't able to ride all the races due work. But every weekend came out a bit faster. Over the whole season a 6 seconds improvement with two first places on the last ducati race weekend in octobre.
I upgraded the bike to a full akra system with custom tuneboy tune session. The bike came out with 198 HP 144 Nm torque on the rearwheel. It also turned out it wasn't always the best idea to upshift to the 6th gear but making more use of the high revs/power instead in 5th gear. (I still use the std gear).

Some 1199 guys didn't understand why i always overtook them on the straights and thought it was an "R" version. The akra is however a bit loud (with std Db killers mounted) and sometimes i get a warning about the noise. Funny enough this is very inconsistent. But luckily the last races were on days with higher tolerated noise levels.
But there were also some less good fenomena. This season the 1199 engines did not prove to be very reliable. About every weekend at least one would blow up.
Worn conrod bearings, the aux. Oil shaft came out of the casing and destroyed the engines, etc. Etc. So i decided to take the engine apart this winter and have it checked to the last bearing. I will also upgrade to titanium conrods and an "R" flywheel. These are done more to build in a bit more safety margin in the high rev range and to accelerate quicker through the mid rev range towards the range where the power is (above 7800 rpm).

The sedici fairing has proven to be a good asset when it comes to streamlining. I was able to tuck behind quite well despite the raised saddle. ( i will be transfering back to the lower standard saddle next season see how that goes.)

One more items that remains is the ABS brake system. I was forced by regulations to alter the forward brake lines and sinces then the system starts to feel spongy at the end of the races. Now it's a matter of eliminating the ABS or change the brake lines again. Anyway never a dull moment....

Awesome affordable rearsets by the way. Great adjustment and quality is good. Heel guard could be a tad bigger but not that big of a deal. Just being picky! I'd buy again if I had to and dealin with him has been by far one of the best experiences considering the issues I went through with powdercoating them and makin a mistake on a couple of pieces. Sent out replacements really quick. Great guy!!
