Results After TuneBoy Installs

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I have it and recently flashed it with an "FM tune"

The bike runs like hell and it's freakin amazing plus I love
The cruise
Control...

I "love" you guys on here...and in the same breath "hate" you guys...

THIS THREAD IS "RESULTS" asking about "RESULTS" after installing Tuneboy...

NOT:

how do I install?

look what I got - pic

I didn't get a CD or missing a file

I have an adapter or it needs one...

etc, etc, etc

WHERE THE F ARE THE RESULTS??? Dyno, impressions, WHY on earth you recommend, etc

(sorry, had to vent)

Full metard

Nah, got it sent from Emma. Was for a
Specific customer and she let me try it out. Works great with the cores exhaust (as others - in South Africa can confirm)

Wanna try?

Cheers
:D
Defnite improvement with the cored exhaust - especially with larger throttle openings and in the higher rpm range, no seat of pants negative effect elsewhere

I have the same issue as Sbrs, using the cable doesn't help an I can only load the std tune back on to get the bike to start- no cruise added...
If I flash cruise only, it wipes the ecu serial number off the screen reopening in flashmitsubishi. The only way I got it to run was to load cruise and tune, turn bike off and on then load std tune. At least this got it running but I'm stuck without cruise. Anyone get past this issue?? Thanks for any help, tuneboy sure wont give any!

Kevigou - did you purchase Cruise and Tune or just Cruise? When you flash Tuneboy to the ECU what does the progress bar across the bottom say? When TB has been successfully flashed into the ECU you should be able to see the serial number. Wondering if you've flashed Tuneboy in successfully and it won't activate or whether it's a problem getting it to the ECU. If the progress bar stops at 'erasing flash' it's usually a problem with the Innovate box not registering the correct password entered in the FlashMitsubishi program (in my experience anyway!)

Also I know a few had trouble getting the CC to work when rear sets had been fitted, the rear brake was permanently registering on so the CC wouldn't activate. Aftermarket rear sets? Wayne also suggested standing beside the bike and just holding the starter so that you definitely aren't interfering with other controls when activating. The blip is usually pretty clear that it's working.

I've uploaded the latest software I have onto my google account, let me know if you want the link, might be as well to start again with the software.

Lastly there is (finally!) a trim file available for the Panigale with Termignoni Slip On exhausts with the DB killers removed. Again PM me if you want a copy.

Don't you need some sort of software key to install?

Sounds like Kevigou has got passed this step but yes, you do. It's all in the setup instructions. Basically you enter your username (email address) and password Tuneboy will have sent you. You then generate a key (make a note of the number for when you change computers) which is added to the registry on your PC. You shouldn't need this number again whilst using the same computer.

Update- this will NEVER work if the file is no good! They sent me a new version 3 cruise only file, I flashed it twice (as you have to) and voila! Worked perfectly, throttle blipped when engaged at idle...
Took it for a test ride and it works great! An awesome addition, it is a bit awkward to engage while at speed but I repeated it about ten times and with practice it's easier. Holds speed quite well. All functions worked as advertised- they were a bit slow in responding to me (a bit over a week) by once they did their service was okay. Don't expect light speed, but they do come through. I figured it was the file- if others have a similar issue (you get your key but the flash won't work) it is probably a bad file. Panigale-cruise only-V206-V3tune.dat is the one that worked for me
Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks for the help- turns out it was nothing I did just a bad file- see my post below- thanks for offering your help though it was driving me nuts!! All good now though- and yes, the blip is obvious and everything is self explanatory when the files work! Thanks again

got the 18 mm pronge from Innovate to be welded on my 2nd set of stock headers ...

wideband anyone? :D

after that i will get my custom tune, though i am pretty happy with the FM tune running currently... that sucker was still pulling strong doing 182 mph  (no video evidence here)

I run two wide band lamdas with my PCV with Autotune. I am quite happy with the results, :D

I just sent my payment in for the Tuneboy Tuning Kit.

It ended up being about $50 cheaper than I though. For once the exchange rate worked out in favor of the dollar. ;)

Has anyone done tuneboy recently? I see most use rapidbike but the cruise, oil light resets are a nice plus for the tuneboy. However i have a had a rough time getting emails back from them.

Kismetcapitan has done a ton of write-ups on his Termi slipon/Tuneboy experiences.. Do a quick search and you'll find that he has posted Dynos etc.

Cheers.
