***EDIT***

Thanks for all the messages. As I am currently working this out with Ducati North America, I'd very much appreciate less speculation in the meantime. I am very happy with Ducati's response and service so far, as I'm sure this is an isolated incident. If we do find the culprit of the issue I will be sure to let the community know to ensure safety. Cheers.

Holy, what in the?

Any details/speculations on what might have happened?

Worried bout my garage now!

Glad you're ok. Sorry bout your bike!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Glad you're ok but terrible news. Hope Ducati NA is on this ASAP.

OMG !!!

WTF!! When/how??
Just now. Fire department just came and put it out. Just riding normally and smelled something burning. Looked down and it's on fire. At a red light. And pulled over.

Sooo sorry to see this, man. That is soul crushing. Pass along w/e info you can.

I'd get in touch with Ducati NA asap and start chatting. I really hope this isn't something that might happen to my V4S.. :(

Man I'm so sorry.

Glad you got off in time and are ok though. Any clue as to the cause?

Thats beyond scary to see but very glad youre ok. The other forums are going to be loving this thats for sure, they .... on Ducs enough so to see a new V4 in flames is as easy as it gets

First of all, very glad you are OK!

Glad you shared it since it will help bring attention to what ever may have caused this and hopefully get it corrected ASAP.

so bummed for you . very impressed with your attitude .
crazy as it sounds it might be possible that You are lucky no one rushed over with a fire extinguisher straight away and put it out . better it be a total.

wonder if the freakishly strange stalling and rough running had anything to do with it

Dude, so sorry to see this happen to you! looking forward on your updates with it. thanks for posting.

this worries me, may consider pulling my order..

Holy .... dude. So long as you are ok that is the main thing. So sorry about your bike:-(

Fuel line come disconnected?

My old bike had that happen....never caught on fire but when I hit the start button after it died, not knowing what happened, is created a large flash fire that luckily was quick and out since I was on the bike. Scary as ....
