has anyone done this mod before? I have the titanium slip on here that came off a customers SL. It obvioulsy doesnt mount exctly the same, but im wondering if it would be worth the trouble of fabricating it to mount on my 1199 base model. it looks like the Akro slip on is mounted the same way minus the fact id have to fab the mounting bracket

I doubt it..... I have my slip on sitting here, I am pretty sure it's not super straight forward, as I don't think you gain much but looks.

If that's all you are after, you may be better with a Termi slip on.

Yeah I don't think I'd gain much from it, but it's much lighter and looks killer. I also have the Termi slip on here I could buy but I like this look better. Not looking for big power gains

Really?! I was looking at the slip ons from Akro on their site and the looked to have the exact same mounting bracket as the stock mufflers. Like this

Here's a stock muffler and the SL slip on...it's just going to sit on a shel or trashed. We have like 6 of them sitting here cause they're usless. No one wants to take them so I was thinking of taking it to my professional fabricator buddy and having him cut the mounting bracket off my stock muffler and welding it on to the Akro slip on. It couldn't be that hard. I

forget it with stock parts.

i also have the stock SL can here and there is no way to adapt it with any existing pipes. the akta y-pipe doesn't match the headers and the stock (base) - y- pipe doesn't match the akra flange.

i have the adapter build on a list (like priority 17). challenge is aligning the mounting points and getting everything gas tight.

might get to it later this year.

PM me if you are looking for a faster solution.
