please do yourself a favor and at least try 195hi Race....once you get used to the throttle response you will not ride in any mode again:)

that's absolutely not true. With a flashlight on your knees hold the bike up level, you can clearly see the site glass looking in around the edge of the fairing, is it ideal? Of course not, will the world come to an end because no notch is there, nope.

totally, i was dumbfounded when i realized you can't see the oil level indication without removing the fairing. that went full retard

I have the DP Race Seat fitted as I too found the original very slippery - its a massive improvement in both grip and comfort.

Brands Hatch GP circuit on the 19th Sept.. here's hoping it passes the noise tests!

It wont pass the static test but does on the ride by and the noise tester there is happy to accept that

That looks like it was done at the shop? My fairing is from the factory. ;)

:D Well done you for being first.

Fair comment it was done by me, just thought it was better than nothing, will probably order up the newer type

Just ordered a set of these:

I am not a great one for bling, but the standard levers (imho) are pretty dull.

Just the race seat and perhaps some rearsets and I am cooked. All I am going to do then is RTFT!

I rekon you'd like the comfort seat more, you said you were 'big boned' (I think I got away with that) so once squished I think you'll like, try both Duc Aylesbury will have both in stock.

I also sometimes just laugh uncontrollably under my helmet, sometimes just thinking how the hell did Dudaucati have the guts to release this thing on the public.

So glad they I'd though.

Only bad thing is I want to ride this all the time now, so my old Dukes are gathering dust.

You should donate them to the Rm4Two foundation where they will be cared for and ridden on a regular basis ha ha ha!

Big boned? Yup happy to accept that one :).

Comfort is not really the issue for me, it is the sliding around on the seat. My height (6ft) means my knees do not lock onto the tank but just beneath it and no real grip there. I have ordered some stomp grips but now think they will be too high up for my knees. Currently my arms are taking a lot of strain which is carried through to the bars. I also do not want to sit any higher.

I will look at the comfort seat because I should, but the racing seat appears to fit the bill.

I have tried both and the racing seat while not much lower than the comfort seat at the front, is considerably slimmer at the back, more like the stock seat. I'm 6'2" 105kg and the comfort was just that little bit too pitched forward for me.

Of course you can try both using the following method, ring the dealer, say a want the DP seat for my bike. Don't specify which, then say the comfort seat turns up, like mine did, try it, clean it, wrap it back up and say what the hell is this? I ordered the race seat...worked for me!:D

By the way, dinosaurs are big boned, we are just fat!

I had exactly the same issues re knee grip and I too found the big stomp grips too big and too high I used the small bits from the street fighter kit they are perfect see link below (they look better in real life and fit nice)

Congrats Marcbc! Lucky bugger! with the oil view port!

Thanks Delta. Sadly it does not stop the exhaust spring melting that same lower fairing. New one on order, under warranty, and it better be one with an oil port!

Arrrgh!! LOL! Sorry mate it never stops does it!! These bikes are like our kids, they never stop wanting attention and getting into trouble! Hope they sort it for you AND with the oil sighting window ofc!!!!

Haven't got more than 100miles before fuel light comes on. Could try not going so fast but what's the point of that.....

I ran my bike out of gas over the weekend, it was all over at 131 miles. The funny part was that right when it ran out I was thinking I could probably make it at least 140 miles since the mpg was showing as 32. Not the case! Luckily I was only about a quarter mile from a gas station and duck walked it to the pump (humbling) It took 4.3 gallons.
