Hi guys, slowly finishing setting up the V4 2022 (track use only). First test on track earlier today and bike feels amazing and completely unlike my r1. Just one thing that surprised me a little. The throttle seems super smooth, but feels like there is a delay in throttle response (throttle bodies opening with a lag/delay to throttle movement). I was thinking in race A mode with engine power on "high" it should be 1 to 1 ratio... Any one has any input on that?

Does it need to be set up with a woolich tune? For info I have a T800 upmap matched to the termi exhaust.

Thanks in advance for the help

I cant remember fully but does RACE A default in "high" or "full" power mode?

High will give you full power but restrict how much you get for the first few gears, full power only restricts the power in first gear.

I don't think any of the default modes came with "full" power mode set up by default, I had to manually customize the modes to put full power

Yes, I think engine power in 'high', still leaves throttle in 'dynamic'? 'Full' gives high engine power and high throttle. Or, something along those lines.

But, if you go into settings, rider modes, you'll see the differences in engine power between Race A and Race B.

I have the Woolich tune, and they made big changes to the throttle tables. I would have thought the Up-Map T800 does too?

Starting in 2022 there is a 4th engine power mode added which is not assigned to any riding mode by default.

As other users already noted it does have a slightly restricted torque request map in 1st gear only. Then all other gears use the same torque request map without restrictions.

The maps altered by Termignoni to tune to their exhaust could also have an impact on drivability if not handled properly. I would recommend you put the original map back in the ECU and see if the lag is still there or not.

There shouldn’t be any lag in the HIGH and FULL engine power modes.

Thanks guys, I also saw that DTC description below which might be causing that delay feeling. So I'll start with putting the bike in FULL mode and DTC down to 1. If still an issue, test with the stock map.

Dont get me wrong, the bike generally feels great and a lot of fun. Much better than I expected. FKR cartridges should be in this week, so next test will be interesting.

I really wonder what level dudes are riding at where they second guess all of the likely well tested and sorted out mapping and traction controls.

The DTC and lower engine power maps absolutely rob you of throttle feel. They are certainly better in their lowest settings (DTC), but, arguably, still too intrusive.

How was the slick map?, and does that go with another mapping like up-map?
Would be sad to loose the other stuff done if you go with slick map.
Some feedback would be nice!

As far as I know the DTC EVO3 slick software isn’t affected by flash tunes though I might be wrong in this.

@DeussenEngines can confirm no doubt.
