what do you guys pay to change your tyres? I personally do my best to get the best price and get those rebates and you save a bunch only to have the stealership charge you an arm and a leg to change them because you didnt buy it from them. on top of that you have to bring them the tyres off the bike.

my old track org had free tire service if you joined at a certain membership. i dont think they have that at my new track. well at least one org doesnt.

what a fair price when you bring the tires off the bike and if you just bring them the bike.

$80 a set. Bring the bike to the shop. As quick as they do it, they should charge like $20, even if their shop rate is $120/hr. I don't mess with removing wheels n such. I paid $160 for my set of Bridgestone S21's so I figure $240 all in is a great price for oem size tires.

Most places in my area offer free mount and balance if you buy the tires from them. You’ll pay a few more bucks for the tires vs online but it’s a wash after you figure the free labor. Call around, surely someone in our area does the same.

you are right old pal 90 bucks in fl for the set and they take them off. in ny if you didnt buy the tyres from the place they charged you like 70 a wheel and thats if you brought it to them. to take them off they charged more robbery. im ok at 90 bucks

the problem was riders discount had that amazing sale and had the rebate. i got the set of sp v2 for like 2 something a set.

i took the panigale to the track for the first time on sunday. and when i went to tech it they were like you going to ride this with those tires good luck. i was like ok you made your point. went out on the ninja.

It's about $70-$90 depending on where you go.

Most places will do it for much cheaper if you can remove your wheels at home and bring just the wheels/tires.

I luckily have a friend with a tire changer in his garage so it only costs me a six pack of wobbly pops!

so my local shop charges 90 bucks and they take the rims off and put them back on.
cycle gear charges 50 but you have to take the rims off and put them on yourself F that.
trying to find out if the track does it. my old track did so maybe its included with my membership.

i have a no-mar and a homemade static balancer.

my guy at the races changes / flips them for free if bought from him, otherwise $15 or $20 i think.

never again at the dealership. i have changed lots of tires that have been only at the dealer before and all rims were scratched inside. not that it matters, but it tells a lot.

normal road tires is $25AUD (which is like 0.50cents in US each off bike)

My track has a tire changer and balancer available, so I normally get some used track tires and mount them at track. My last set of used SC's lasted 2 Rounds (around 8 races)

Around here it was $100 for the set if the tires weren't bought from the dealer or shop. At the track it's $5 each with the Dunlop rep with race tire service if you bought tires from him. I use him on race weekends case it's quick and easy. I decided to buy a No Mar tire changer to save $$$ in the long run since I have multiple bikes and now dirt bikes to change tires on as well.

This is what I use. Worth the investment and super f'ing easy to do. Got a cheap bike master balancer, which works great, but you just need larger clamping clones to do the rear wheel on Ducati's.

It has already paid for itself. Plus, I don't have to drag .... all over town to get it done. Throw on some tunes, pop the wheels off and 30min later I'm done with two wheels mounted and balanced.

I use the same changer as well super easy and a similar balancer. Ran into same issue with the clamp cones years ago so been using this setup for a long time. Believe these hubs are still available from Corsa996RS on Ebay.

My very first tire change, on my Bimota Db2, in 1994 the dealership charged me $526 for putting on a set of Dunlop 364's which I purchased from them at the time of tire change.

The tires were around $320. So they hit me up almost $200 if you take sales tax out of the total.

I was new to this procedure and did't have bike stands, etc., so I was totally at their mercy.

As this was my first set, I was a little naive. Two weeks later, I had a Coats tire changer, static balancer and bike stands.

Going through about 3 sets of tires a year, based upon this dealership cost, it took about 2 years to pay off all the expense of the tools, all of which are still used today, twenty years later..
