V4R or M1000RR

Hence a dilemma, I'm fast on BMW than on V4R 2019. Maybe it's non linear power delivery that I still can't get used to.

....19 ok know I understand your pricing

how big of a discrepancy are we talking? what's the time difference?

the pricing is for 23 model. I got a quote sitting in front of me now - 40.6k for a new bike and akra (before tax).
If I say to match Alpha's M1000RR offering in a decent config - this leaves me with 10k to spend on extras.

The tempting bit about BMW is Motec with data recordings, I do look at data to figure out where I suck.
Another one is linear power delivery. I know they have refined this in V4R 2023, I havent tried it yet.

the time diff is going down now, I think I finally got my head around how to ride it.

Another aspect in the dilemma, looks like BMW is working on 2025 model behind the scenes. I know people who test-rode whatever prototype they have this year. Its a bit early ofc but with recent WSBK changes - I wonder if BMW is hugely investing in the platform. V4R 2023 seems like EOL platform, especially if you factor in 2024 WSBK rule changes. However, I probably overthink a bit here for a trackday rider.

40k with Akra is a deal - but I don't believe you, lets see your quote...
No one is giving 4k off the bike and throwing in a 8k exhaust

2023 V4R is faster, easier to ride. I had a 19 R before the 23

why won't you say what the time difference is?

BMW is never HUGELY investing in motorcycles unless its for GS. There will also be a new V4R in 25

Having been a V4, 1199, s1k, and hp4 owner I can speak unbiased and say the V4R. Not even a discussion.

Apparently Ducati pays some cash back once bike is road registered to semi-dealers. Exhaust is 6.3k before tax, not 8.

Time diff is 1-3 seconds, but consistent from track to track.

I ....... miss Motec software.

Good deal.

Why did they give you a $10k discount?

discount is 2-3k. its standard price these days. I got 2 quotes from unrelated people at the same level.
I mentioned this earlier, they get some kind of Ducati cashback moneys if bike is road registered once.

Msrp is 44,995 usd for the bike and 7995 for the exhaust - 53k.

40,600 euro is 43,100 usd - 9900 discount.

Helluva deal but seems questionably relevant to anyone else who doesn’t have access to special pricing or not buying leftovers late in the year once they’ve been discounted.
