I've been riding since 1971 and I wave at everyone. That includes Can Ams and scooters most of the time. I actually find that many real Harley riders do wave back, and usually it's the tougher "biker" looking guys that do as opposed to the empty nester guys who bought one as their middle aged crazy toy. I think the hard core guys are like me, they get that we all ride for the same reason regardless of what style bike we are on.

btw, to the scooters, I think we wave at them because in the U.S. most of them look like Honda Interceptors from the front.

I wave at sport bikes only. If I am in the process of speeding, I refrain. Paying attention on a Panigale while rippin' down a road is much more important than waving under those circumstances.

'71 Chonda CL100, those were the days. Have you (anyone) seen the Cleveland Misfit? It reminds me of my CL. I would love to get one, only $3200, cheaper than an exhaust!.

That bike is only $3200?

Yes, 250cc, made in China by a Cleveland engineer. There is one parked outside a nearby coffee shop, it is just so cool looking, I want to take it home with me. Even the wife loves it, which is a good thing if I decide to get one :)

I just looked through their site. I also like the Heist. Would be great for beating up riding around town... Thanks for posting, I have ideas now...

Maybe a good commuter for CF! It's got an optional upgrade for more HP, but does over 70 outa the box.

Pretty cool looking.

My first bike was a Honda 175 "Dream". Yes, I'm embarrassed to admit that, although I did put on a set of louder pipes and re-jetted the carb (no kidding!). My second bike redeemed me - it was a '73 Yamaha RD350.

+1
I wave to evrery rider...You ride I wave!

As long as you are on two (or three for my trike/spyder bothers and sisters) you are cool with me.

The Harley riders wave back. It just sometimes takes them longer to react when their glove tassels get caught on their ape hangers. After waving at a Harley wait until you pass each other then look in your rear view and that's when you'll see them wave back. ;)

I wave to H*rley riders because when they wave back, I think, "See, Ducati riders aren't snobs!" If they don't, I get this great little jolt of self-righteous joy.

So wrong, I know ... "but it feels so right!"

I don't wave to cops anymore they never wave back. I wave to Harley's but only if they wave first. I wave to all others, tourers, enduro's, scooters :)

My friend nodded at a cop and he got pulled over for illegal license positioning.
