Nice, might give them a call next week, how often did you say you rode the bike?

Just did a quotes on QBE and it came to $1709 with usage below 4000 km, 60% NCB and one traffic infringement in past 5 years.

I did a quote with QBE and got a .... who rides a 848 Evo......now that was a big help:D
Quote came in at $1338.00 for the TRI and she said they would beat any price, so I went to NRMA and got them down to $1000.00.
Now I am back to QBE on Monday for a date with the Evo ....:D

Just called USAA. They quoted me $50 a month or $600 per year for the S/ABS. Not bad. It's only $15 more a month than my R1. I was pretty darn tootin surprised.

$311.81/yr. for full coverage with $1K deductible and maximum liability for the 1199 S non ABS I'm picking up Saturday. Max liability only would be $150, which is about $20-40 more than I'm paying for any of my other bikes. State Farm has all my insurance.

50+ with a crappy driving record.

I'm a bit shy to say...!

1Million civil liability
$250 deductible
No KM limit
$10000 life insurance in case I die on the bike...;)
Up to $2000 for medical fees, in case I don't die on the bike...;)

All this for CND$560/year...payable in 6 payments through the year.
Oh...and I forgot to say...this is for my $30000 Tricolore.

Still laughing...:D

All of you current/former US Military fellas should check into USAA. Even if you weren't in the military and your parent(s) were you should still qualify. I only pay around $25 a month for full coverage on my 2007 R1. Excellent company, excellent customer service and they have great banking options as well. I haven't asked for a quote for an 1199 yet, but as soon as I do I'll post up.

I have USAA on everything except motorcycle insurance. They farm out to Progressive which was charging me a premium for handling the USAA account. They charged me 600 or so per year on my Monster and when I bought my 1198, I switched over to Daryland who charges me 200/year on the monster and a little over 700/year on the 1198.

I just had to get a stated value policy for my Tricolore, as State Farm doesnt recognize the VIN. But Full coverage with 1k deductables was 37/mo. Cheaper than the 2010 RC8R I just sold and the wife's RSV4 Factory. 30yr old with clean record.

No one crash these and drive up my rates! ><

not to be negative but they will not actually sell you a policy at that rate. you are quoted that right now because their system doent recognize it as a superbike, and once it does then you'll see. Same thing happened to me when I tried before the 1199 was in the USA system...it was assessing it as a cruiser with 1199cc..not superbike.

I asked about that, and they said that the 28k value put it in a certain bin of rates. I'm SURE it'll go up a bit. The wife's Ape did after enough people bought base model ones and started demolishing them. My RC8R was only 42/mo though. We've had pretty stellar rates across the board, so I dont expect it to be THAT much more if/when it does go up.

I pay € 520 a year for full coverage. 80% no claim discount, 48 yrs and still going strong on the racetrack. Lol.

Canadian, 26 y/o w/ relatively clean record = $1000/year for full coverage through State Farm.

I wonder if they'll start giving discounts for bikes with TC and ABS. They should!

I'm paying 70$ a month for my 1199s with ABS, my driving record sucks and I'm 22. Don't know if they made a mistake or what but that seems extremely low to me? But not complaining!

I'm at 37/mo for my Tri with 100/300/100 full coverage, 1000 deductible. Let's wait a couple months until the bike is established and recompare lol :D

Wow you guys have some pretty cheap insurance!

I (34 yr old male) have a clean record and I'm looking at $750 a yr with a $1000 deductible. I'm also from MA, a state where they take any money you may possibly have.
