Thanks for the welcome!

I only skimmed but I thought I saw some really low quotes in here within the US.

I'm paying 70$ a month for my 1199s with ABS, my driving record sucks and I'm 22. Don't know if they made a mistake or what but that seems extremely low to me? But not complaining!

22 and you have an S w/ABS? ........ :) Just kiddin'. And like you, my driving record at 22 wasn't stellar either, and I still had a reckless driving arrest in my future at that point. Apparently doing 145 on a straight piece of road in Nevada will do that for you, even when it's only you and another bike on the road. Stay safe out there!

did you use an actual VIN ? when I was getting quotes months ago it was a little less but I've used and actual S VIN (tho im getting the STD lol) and the quote was ugly...not really shop around tho, just used my current Progressive.

btw, all liter bikes are considered superbikes so very likely the S and the STD are the same until you start getting into real exotic prices...the Desmos, the Rs and Tric maybe

hmmm, no I didn't give them an actual vin but I did tell them to make sure they looked up the S model. I hope it doesn't go way up.

My driving record at 25 wasn't stellar either, and I still had a reckless driving arrest in my future at that point. My father get my bike and me insured from a very reputed insurance company, as he know I am doing 145 on a straight piece of road in Nevada will do that for you, even when it's only you and another bike on the road. Bad driving record. 28 years old. $410 annually for full coverage.
Look up foremost ins. They separate out ducati's from GSXrs and other sportbikes while running their risk assessments. Makes all the difference in the world.

£467 quoted from E-bike for a base 1199 with ABS fully comprehensive. 37 yrs old with 10 yrs + NCB, bike garaged with no alarm/tracker in North Hampshire.

I will try go compare next but think i will struggle to get better than that.

UK riders beware: Thinking of getting a Panigale and already have an 'Aviva Premier Multi-bike' policy? Then forget it. I accepted this policy when I renewed with Carole Nash as it seemed perfect for someone who was keeping their current ride and thinking of what all Ducati riders think of - another Ducati. Now comes the time to add the Panigale due for delivery this Saturday and Aviva are apparently refusing to insure any Panigale model at all because they have adopted a 'wait and see' policy. Nice if you have such policy with them huh? F--ck you Aviva!

This will force me to cancel my current policy (used for four months, but will only get 6 months refund - although to be fair CN are talking about eating some of that for me). The fear and loathing put into UK insurers by an expensive new model of bike is laughable. Can you see motor insurers doing the same thing for an equivalent value car?

I have been riding for 30 yrs, 13 yrs NCB, no recent convictions etc. etc. and can only ride one bike at a time - yet it looks like my bike insurance is about to go up by a factor of 3-4X. Anyone got any tips (apart from emigrating).

No one will insure for business use on my Tric'. Kind of sucks because I canget it on any make of car but had lots of replies saying no can do business use on the Ducati! Have a quote from National Farmers Union for £1600 including business use and they were going to decline until I pointed out how many policies we have with them so they made a decision to go ahead. The UK bike insurance services are pretty ....! Do you have any NCB, No sorry ok what's your biking history. Ok thats cool. How much is the bike? £23,750. Sorry Sir too expensive for us to insure! WTF! It is only £23,750 not like a bloody ferrari or Lambo!!!!

OK , so I called Allstate , whom I have three vehicles with and was told that since my Wife has a motorcycle endorsment , she would have to be on the insurance also. WTF ? But , I needed insurance so I could pick up my bike the next day. They set US up with full coverage for $1,150.00 a year. Whatever , I got my bike , and I can always shop around later for a cheaper rate. A few days goes by and the dealership calls and says the insurance lade put the wrong first letter down for the VIN. She had it as V , when it is really Z. Correction was made. About an hour later , insurance lady calls me and says that by changing the V to a Z , my cost for the year will go up another $2,350.00 ! So those crackheads think I'm going to pay $3,500.00 a year for insurance ! Dude , I'm 40 yrs old with no tickets ! Hell No ! Gonna try USAA tomorrow. Only did three years in the Navy , but maybe it'll get me some cheap insurance ! Here's hoping !

I got mine through State Farm for $636 per year. I have house, cars and life with them. I'm 41 with one speeding ticket and no accidents.

Two words: State Farm

I was told the same by Allstate, Progressive, even GEICO....all ripoffs. $2-$3k? LOL Not sure about USAA, not sure why you wouldn't do business with them exclusively if you could in the first place.

same here and the one speeding ticket didn't even count. They gave me a good quote...oops! just ran your record and found a ticket 2 years ago, updating.....no change to quote. :p

kensteele , I wanted to try Allstate first since we have had our vehicles with them for about 15 years. Turns out customer loyalty means nothing to them. I did'nt know about USAA until someone on here mentioned them. I'll get quotes from USAA and Statefarm tomorrow.

Sounds good. GEICO is the only insurance company I've had in my entire life and all my cars for decades....great. First bike, a Ducati Supersport, not full coverage, $120 a year. GEICO is the best, right? Tried to add my 1199S and they quote me $1,800 /year full coverage $1K ded. So much for loyalty and very few claims if any.

I believe it was the good hands at Allstate that quote $2,400 / year. That's crazy. I landed at State Farm with $500-ded for $585 per year. First time I took out insurance with other than GEICO since 1985.

Would be interested to know what USAA charges.

Yeah , I'll have to call USAA on the phone. Did their online quote and got something like $2,000.00 a year ! I don't get it. Gonna try State Farm for sure also.
