I'm tempted by the , now available , ABS option for the Base ! I've accidently locked up the rear on a few occasions over the years , and it always scares the crap outta me ! It'd be nice to not have to worry about that. That said , I'm not a rich man . And the 1199 is already ALOT of money for me. I could use that money for some slip-ons later.
 
I ordered my S with ABS and the DDA as an option. Same DDA that is on the Tricolore. It is just a plug and play system. The Tricolore is 4500 Euro more expensive then the S with ABS. The DDA is 450 Euro. You pay 4000 Euro for a color and Termis. Termis I like, but I am not fond of the too much white. Could have been better IMO. And holding value better. I don't think so. I know guys that bought their R's for 40000+ Euro and traded in for a Pani and have lost much, very much.
 
going with the tri colore because IMO i believe this bike to be a huge evolutionary step for Ducati. Not saying I want to hide it in a garage but I will definitely be keeping this as part of a collection. Trying to find a 916 because the was my first Ducati and a similar evolution for its time. Anyway I am sure all will be extremely happy with what ever they purchase. I just wish they would come sooner!
 
China Crisis

Just as I thought everything was sorted my wife throws a curve ball. I am in China on a 3 week vacation, (Wife of 12 years is Chinese). Both she and her relatives (who have checked out the hard copy hard backed sales brochure), believe I should go with the S with the ABS and Termi's on it. I should not be suprised at this given that the colour of the flag here is Red and also I am here through the Chinese New Year, so everything is decked in Red. Either way it is making me think again as both the S in Red and the S Tricolore in Red, White and a splash of Green both have their plus points. Oh what to do, what to do. I am back to the dealer 14th Feb 2012 what do I do? stick with the S Tric or go to the S ?
 
Get the Tri and we can swap body panels as I am getting the S with ABS and full Tremi. LOL. Just kidding. By the time it arrives the new year's celebration should be over (hopefully).
 
I'm planning to order two 1199 S. 1 beautiful red(single seat) which I'll be taking to the track and have the other one repainted in black(dual seat) so my girl can also have the pleasure riding with me on road trips. Both with ABS and full termis.

I can't believe it, you guys must have too much money. My two older sons are married to Philippinoe girls both fantastic personalities and good singers, but I had no idea that you guys can buy two bikes exact same but just different colours and one extra seat. Respect !!!

Well, I can only live once so, I'll live to the fullest. =) You know what they say, if you gotta dream, dream BIG! And finally this year, my dreams are coming true. Actually, I saved for the Desmosedici RR but I was impressed when I heard about the 1199. It was a very hard decision but 2 bikes weighed more for me. Plus, I can ride with my girl. =)

Does anyone have an idea on the release date to the US east coast on the Tricolore?
 
Tricolore for me !!!
Also got a ducati rear stand, Ducati bike cover and carbon tank guard. Can't wait till may.
 
Just put my deposit down on Tricolore with Tony (akkutz) @ Ducati Louisville, KY. He has been great to work with and is a member of this forum.

For me the 1199 S with the full term for the sound and the extra 10 power. I love the full red color of the bike. For me a Duc have to be red...
 
"s" ordered. Can't wait for delivery. Bit of an upgrade from my current 848 that I love.
 
Tricolore for me as I just cant wait to try out all the new Ducati technology.....my 996R is going to hate me:D
