Woolich Racing Tune and lag

Yeah Don so lets go back to basics here so if you don't have a log box and widebands you won't be able correct any ignition maps or a/f. Now you can go in there manually if you want to start changing numbers but it will get real messy.

Now you go log data through the log box/widebands now yes the auto correct part of the software will know what it all needs to be.

My 3d graph of my current map is not going to look anything like what yours or anyone else's might look like once the bike is tuned especially when we talk 1299 vs 1199R and 15-16R. If you don't install widebands or logbox and actually go out collect data auto correct stuff your not gonna get anywhere. How is my 3d graph gonna be suspicious Don? Its what the current map looks like here lets brake it down for the people that want to see difference from stock map to actual tuned map.

Stock 15/16R map from ECU.

Where is Endo or Vesparacer maybe he needs to chime in and show us some of his maps as well???

What do you mean? The software lets the tuner do whatever he or she wants with timing

You want Woolich to tell you what timing is gonna work best for you?

How long ago did you get that pic of the 3d fuel graph? Posting that same pic over and over only creates suspicion. It doesn’t help anyone

Maybe you are better off sticking to the fiberglass stuff?

Neat but he never asked to see your fuel map, he asked to see the ETV tables and you won’t post anything but a fuel map. I’m guessing his question is, do you know how to post any of your tune data besides the same map?

The ETV charts and numbers I have wont help him out. He could copy n paste all my numbers into one of his bin files and it won't look the same. Done it all tried it all and does not work so if its not going to work in the software how the .... it gonna work on the bike? Its like the dumb leading the dumb folks get the right stuff and go to work.

I’m sure he knows how to take a pic of the ETV table and post it

Just don’t understand why he won’t?

We aren’t racing. He isn’t vcycle Dave and this is his livelihood

Thought we were all here to try to make this junk run as good as possible?

I have everything I need to tune it. Dyno access and all. That might not happen til next summer at the rate I’m going tho ha

I’m not wanting to copy n paste anything just wanted to see what ended up working for YOU

If you even ...... with it???

Does the software even suggest timing and etv changes???? Thought it was just used to hit target a/f??????????????????????

Trade secrets of the masters Don, let it go. Just call Woolich at this point. I’m sure they can offer some assistance.

Don lets be real clear here I post up my ETV numbers from my ecu part number which is comparible to your ecu? I am guessing you want to copy n paste them into a map you "read" off your ecu? So tell me this you save the bin file as a new map file then whats gonna happen when you go graph it? Is it going look the same? Lets go to the next step you still gonna "write" it to your ecu expecting to be close to tuned?

No dude. I just wanted to see what you did w the ETV

Plug n play? Again you avoid the question - Does the software suggest changes to:

A) ignition

B) ETV

????

Yes Don plug n play assuming you have everything hooked up correctly.

If you got far enough to do a "read" off your ecu then you should have seen enough to know there is only changes to ignition map, air/fuel and shifter values.

I did (and you have said that before. It’s like you keep avoiding real questions and keep saying the same stuff over n over)

Guess you never tuned a early one?

No shifter values but I can modify the ETV table

Oem etv was slightly different than up map table iirc

I’ll ask Woolich about if it makes suggestions there

Crickets. @billetman last seen today, last posted a long time ago, joined a decade ago. Did you find a way to get rid of the dip in the torque curve (other than buying a V4)???

I don’t think it’s 100% possible. @Mick1976 says he’s done it. Would love to see that dyno chart : )

I do not believe it’s the cam specs that create the dip (although they prolly contribute and changing where they are in relation to the crank (cam timing) could remove some of it). I think it mostly comes from the bore to stroke ratio, the rod length to stroke ratio, and a combo of the throttle bodies, ports, and valves having such a large cross sectional area/and the terrible EVT map that is both stock and in the up map that comes with the R. I think the EVT map is exaggerating all the mechanical factors I just mentioned

Would love to hear what you have tried Billet man and see what results you have achieved. Would love to see that dyno chart too Mick : )
Don 14R I ended up downloading the only 16r map they have for map share from there web site and tweaked it on my dyno have greatly improved the mid range flat spot but not completely mine has the Ducati performance mufflers and y pipe that eliminates the flapper valve on my dyno I am seeing 178 hp sae corrected ( for reference my Desmsedici only made 166 sae corrected) little low but my dyno seems to be on the conservative side. I have some ti bungs to weld in so I can use my Dynojet wide bands to get a more accurate tune just been real busy with work and have not had the time. Be interested to see how you make out with the full package you got from Woolidge.

understand, that state is problematic for everybody’s business. Prescott is a great little town. I used to fly into the Prescott airport.

So who tweaked the MC03 map? And what do you mean “tweaked”? You took an auto map then went in and manually change certain cells?
