Yea you do that champ. Let me know when you bike arrives. I'll come out, and show you which end is the front and if we have time left in the day, maybe with a little help, you could figure out how to start it.

It is easy to say this bike can be built for less money, but could that have been done before Ducati built it. I highly doubt it considering Ducati had the front forks custom made and did 48000 Km of testing on it to get it to where it is now...a ballistic weapon that handles like a 250.

Endo I appreciate all your input, but there is no way you could have designed and got it to the standard it is for under the asking price.

Each bike is hand built and Luigi here might have something to say about your comments..:D

If you were only there for the conversation. When I finished bike 1 I had it at the Long Beach show. The marketing director for DMA went over it extensively and exclaimed that while the 1299sl was a premiere bike, that I had taken it to a refined level and in essence, had been riding a 1299sl for 2 years so I hate to rain on the parade but I and a few others beat Ducati to the punch quite some time ago. I had the first set of 1299 CF bodywork from CDT. The bike actually still has the prototype set. I did the motor mods and more of them including many Corse pieces not on the 1299SL. I did top shelf Brembo, WSBK Ohlins pieces, ceramic rotors bla bla in 2015 so Luigi can hang on to his gimmicky plaque and "exclusive" garbage. I built much of bike 1 and bike 2 with the help of many on this board as well as OPP, CP NCR. We had a lighter bike with more power and higher end parts 2 years before the 1299SL and we did it for less money. I would hold off on the V4 until you see what's coming next.

Bingo we have a winner. It's about time someone figured it out. Those who do know me here and know what is going on behind the scenes are laughing their ..... off. The pump is primed. Thanks in advance Duc749r. Man that was easy.

Sadly thats what matters to people is the plaque, not dollar for dollar value.

I can only think of the veyron that was built at a loss just to be the fastest street-legal production car in the world.

Let me get this right. The marketing Director for DNA told you that you took your bike to a refined level before Ducati could do it and beat them to the punch ? You REALLY want us to believe that the DNA marketing director came over to your bike and told you that you were at a level Ducati wished they could be at. Really ?

You realize what a complete imbecile you sound like, right ? I gotta say it. Everyone who is reading this is thinking what a pretentious as$clown you are.

NOLA.

P.S. You didnt build $hit. You assembled a bunch of parts other people built. Wow. Go boy.

You are the superstar of this web board.

And have more "thanks" than me. OMFG, "www.World Star."

NOLA.

Endo has no reasons to lie and I take his word for it if that is what happened and he does build custom parts that he shares with members BTW.

He can be the coolest guy in the world and share pots of gold...I am calling bull$hit that the marketing director came to him and told him that. Thats so far fetched and stroking his own ego its laughable.

Come on youngR you really think that happened ? Like a yes or no.

NOLA

I have no reason to think not to.

If you told me the same thing, I would believe you too. I think you just don't like him very much. Lol.

Not at all....We have had literally one conversation on the board, over the sprocket thing. I harbor no ill will.

I just throw the bull$hit flag that a DNA director approached him to tell him how amazing his bike was. I mean come on.

NOLA

His name is Laurence Kuykendhal, marketing director DNA. I will set up a phone call so you can speak to him directly. After the call if it is verified to your satisfaction, you donate 1K to a charity agreed? Also good job posting the wrong info on the sprocket. Fortunately, its now fixed. Best to stick with no advice instead of bad advice. I think anything past swapping valve caps you should leave alone

@endodoc

1. I have Google too. I can Google his name. Wow.
2. You are now trying to back up your bluff with more bravado in betting me.
3. Posting on the other page asking Gecko for his number so you can discuss all kinda of technical parts is just you referencing to this post to try and build yourself up more. Leave Gecko alone, he is the real deal :)

Grow up. You're 12.

NOLA.

You haven't seen endodoc's bike have you? Some of us have.

Poor Nola. Skirt must have gotten caught in the rear sprocket he installed incorrectly. You can ping Gecko. He will set you straight.

He can have the coolest baddest most heavily modded Ducati on planet earth and the solar system.

1. He didnt build it, he assembled parts. Having money doesnt make you a technical genius.
2. I have a hard time believing the DNA marketing director is his personal fanboy.
3. He DOES have more "thanks" than me as he so eloquently pointed out.

I am completely entitled to my opinion.

NOLA

With all this banter..I kinda do want to see a pic of your bike. And NOT to be a dik. Like I assume its all custom and full of cool swag. Is there a pic of it on here ?

NOLA

I would be interested to know say 20yrs down the track if you sold your copy what your loss would be compared to what a 1299SL owners loss would be.

I would also be interested to see a back to back test done on your bike versus the 1299SL by some one who has ridden it and then put it up on you tube for the world to see......so far all the people who have put one up have raved about it.

You know mate i reckon it is pretty special that Luigi and his mates get to have their names on a special bike that they put together and become part of Ducati history and i am sure they feel the same....But maybe you have to be a Ducatista or Italian to understand that.

Endo put your bike out there show the world how much better it really is, I know at least 500 club members that would love to see how good it is and you can add one former World Champ to that :D

I am going riding all this talk about Ducati has my balls tingling, time for a bit of arse puckering :D
