Lol you're so right man I'll make sure to sit up next time and take in all the sights! [emoji12]

glad you're so fast everything is a blur as you consistently beat all the "jap" bikes and take the podium....

Looked out for you today, hoping to spot your 1299 with those wheels. Where you are Cresson?

I didn't make it today unfortunately.. Wifey is leaving town for 8 days for work, so I chose to be a good husband and give her the day.

I still took a 2 hour ride around north Dallas and broke in a fresh d-air suit. Covered in leather in 100 degrees is surprisingly comfortable!

Pm me anytime.. I ride as often as possible. When I bought the bike, I was committed to keeping themiles low... after a few rides, I've completely thrown that out the window.

I'm trying to put 100k on this thing! I can't get enougb!

I just got my ... absolutely handed to me by a Gixxer doing a few street races.

1. "Street race" was on an empty toll road.
2. He pulled away EVERY GD time.. right from the start. We started at about 70mph. I was in 2nd.. redline, shift, redline, shift..

Anyone else do some head to head? How does your Duc fair? I was forced to ride my snobby man's bike down losers row tonight, and I'm pissed! lol

Any for head to heads? The only engine upgrade I have are the Termi carbon slips.

I'm hitting the track this weekend... hopefully to not go cry home to mummy again. ....... gixxers!

Remind me again, why I should care what a Suzuki roadbike does.:D

I recently went on a 'shop' ride with a friend who had bought a new 2016 ZX-10 so most there were on Kwakas, two young guys turned up in full race gear with knee sliders and all the bits. They both blew past me on the straight till we got to the mountains, I past them both and waited for them at the top. I only consider myself an average rider but the Pani shines when the road starts to turn, I care very little about drag racing.

On the track they are both competitive.

Plain and simple it comes down to rider skill, it always has.

Bike needs to be rode on the pipe, and if your not, you will get walked on.

Swap bikes, I bet you still get beat.
No way... I caught up with the guy later, and he works at a custom performance shop. He had a turbo along with about every other engine upgrade out there... and apparently has only lost once to a custom busa.

I just happened to mess with the wrong gixxer!

8 pages of this nonsense and utter bullcrap with all the joe 6 pack "racers" bragging and posturing only for you to find this out! LOL

Now behold the Suz GSXR has a turbo! Damn 8 pages later to find this out. LOL!!!

he caught up with him at the shop rebuilding his tricked out engine so he could drag strip race another 2 miles or so in a straight line before blowing up his engine again..

I love hearing these bikes and dig the feel of them; I don't really care if I get passed by an inline 4. I've had some great inline 4s in the past but they don't give me the ownership experience I'm getting out of riding these Panigales. Looking at them, working on them (well, they all have their maintenance foibles), riding them, hearing them.....pride of ownership. I've had some great Suzuki and Honda sportbikes (tried BMW but same thing) but they don't quite push the swell-o-meter like these Ducs do! For what they cost, they should of course but it's not all about being the fastest for me. Yeah, it's a little warm behind the tank (not hot but there's that warm air plume) but I wonder what would I have to give up that I like about this Panigale to get the heat free (or reduced) experience? Not sure I'd care for that compromise. It's still relatively early in my ownership experience but I'm hoping it won't sour. Now I'm going to change that oil and filter for the first time instead of paying someone else to do it so I can get to a new (to me) track this Thursday; there's little else in life that matters as much.

bahaha.. Well.. Made for some fun conversation!.. sorry for the anti-climatic letdown boys and girls!

The obvious next step is to add turbo and nos to my 1299 :D

Ceramic coated pipes worked wonders on the heat -- That plus the carbon subframe upgrade(I at least want to think the $370 I paid for that made some sort of difference)

and "swell-o-meter"??.. haha.. I've been looking for a scientific way to grade my wife's outfits. Thanksssss

Cresson

Yesirrr.. Cresson. Though the AMS Ducati folks seemed to think the Father's Day crowd isn't the best time to hit the track due to elevated inexperience levels.

I'll probably still be out there... Track in July/August doesn't sound that appetizing in TX!

Only once in my life did I do a Track Day at Cresson. Found it to be a nicely laid out course, but being my first time there, and borrowing a 998 from a friend, I was VERY careful that day and rode like a ..... for sure!

The cool part was that Larry Pegram was the VIP Host and everyone got to hang out w him and also ride around w him showing the lines and all too. AMS throws a nice Track Day for sure and also with the help of Jordan Rhodes is kind enough to set up your suspension for everyone.

Thought Id toss in some memorable pics from that day and hope no one minds on this here? One of the Control Riders / AMS Coaches was super cool (Forget his name) but took video of anyone who wanted it so he could show you where you were off line or could improve at Cresson.
One thing to note though - If bringing anyone w you to watch, the track is awful for spectators period! No where to actually sit and watch / video or take pics with the layout of this place. :(
