What if they are locking washers…made out of titanium?

Response - "Ok, so you’re using the right bracket. From the picture I supposing you are using the version without light holder.
Don’t worry fit in, it will work. At first mount this"

mounted, looks ok from the front but on the piss from above...forced into the bracket and pulling on the rubber.

did you try and loosen some of he bolts holding the stray together? Perhaps they just torqued them when they were not all lined up?
