After reviewing this thread I'm not seeing any evidence of an all-new bike in 2025...no engineering docs, no spy shots, etc. Or am I missing something?

You’re not missing anything except brainiac Bp spin his wheels trying to figure out how he’s going to explain his dig at me and my opinion

The GP2-890 RR’s electronics are significantly better than the RC 8C. The RC and 890R are basically the same bike. I’d rather have a Kramer. If you’re going to throw $35k at a track bike, what’s another $5k to get the cream of the crop.

Anyone know how much a GYTR prepped R7 would cost?

Oh i was waffling back and forth ALOT that day. Until i called my buddy that has one. RoadracerX btw. He said regardless of cost i should get the RC 8C…partly for resale value, mostly for on track reasons, he said its nearly a perfect bike, but it absolutely needed the higher rev limit to the point where the rev limit with no over rev was becoming intrusive. You could ride around it, but you had to ride around it, whereas in every other way the bike just flowed.

I think your move to the RC 8C is a super smart move! (Quite the opposite of what bp thinks) Can't wait to hear your thought. I'm even starting to consider it. Sell the V4 and pick up a middleweight twin. A bunch of my track day friends are moving over to them away from their 1000s.

I rode a couple sessions with a guy who had an 23 RC 8C and 660 Trofeo and he preferred the KTM

RoadracerX has 30 bikes in his garage, including an Alpha WSBK spec BMW, a couple MotoAmerica bikes, two Superlegera’s, a 2023 V4R, lots of top tier track tuned bikes, and he has 30 years of track riding and racing under his belt. Locally all the guys know him, and use him as a kind of guru on both bike setup, but more importantly they go to him to see his racing line, at given track, because he’s known for finding the best possible line on any given course. He knows his bikes and knows his tracks. And he’s FAST even though he’s no young pup anymore. He’s strange kind of SMOOTH fast where he turns in pretty epic lap times without it seeming like he’s even trying at it. He’s not some BONSAI! let it all hang out rider, super smooth and methodical and fast with skill not effort.

So there are know surprises really in his riding style or what he’s gunna do on a given bike on a given track.

His 1st weekend with his RC 8C he set the lap record in both directions at Streets of Willow at Willow Springs. The outright record, not a class record. Meaning he was faster there than all the fastest liter bike riders have been on that bike. That speaks volumes of the bike’s capabilities to me. Granted that track is a bit more technical with no very long straights at 160-170 mph, but even so, the bike is VERY capable. Enough to where it’s definitely not gunna slow me down having 100 less HP.

I’m also realistic and know that this bike isn’t gunna suddenly transform me into Toprac, but i do think it’s going to be a very fun track tool that’s going to help me improve more quickly.

dont touch this thing just ride it!!!

Other than springing it right for me and dialing in the compression and rebound, and putting some Vesrah pads that have a bite profile I prefer, I definately won’t change anything until I get it out to the track. I MAY end up putting my thumb brake on there, and the EVO GP brake MC that I just bought and trade out the Stylema Calipers on it for my GP4-MS fronts and P2 rear caliper.

Interesting about the rev limit.

When are you expecting to get it on track?

I guess so… Due to my profound stupidity, explain how your genius level brain got from my opinion that I would’ve bought a Kramer to saying Steven wasted his money?

It's epic how much of a tool bag you are. It's almost hilarious.

The GP2-890 RR’s electronics are significantly better than the RC 8C.

Zero actual knowledge or experience with either bike's electronic package.

I think your move to the RC 8C is a super smart move!

Stop taking a guy that called you lazy in another thread to the hair so often. It's embarrassing.

Please don't

Are the KTM's like belt drive ducati's in the sense the chassis will take any twin engine? Will the 1290/1390 bolt into that chassis?

because on a 120hp bike it beyond not necessary and is not inline with alternate riding style you will be experiencing.

Not surprised that you still can’t formulate the logic to answer the question. Just a winy little b!tch… (seems that Duc has turned off swear words haha)

I beg the forums forgiveness. I’ve made a grave error and didn’t realize the RC 8C has TC. So I recant my statement that the RR is better than the 8C. I will also be performing seppuku to restore the honor of my family. So sorry so sorry.

JFC you take this forum so seriously….

Ahem... this is a Ducati Panigale forum so all the Kramers and RC8's can fu<K off back to Austria or wherever they come from. Lets all encourage Steven to bling his new R to the absolute t!ts, not ride around in circles on a gaudy orange parallel twin 🤣

What I find interesting is these bikes have about the same weight with more HP then the NSR250's with built motors (but heavier than the GP 250's). After riding this everything else will feel utterly porcine. Losing that 80 lbs will be a mind altering experience.

I'm still waiting for Ducati to build the single with the roots pump as they promised to do in the 90's. Similar weight to the RC8 with similar power in a street bike. And everybody would buy one. True marketing knuckleheads. They now have a single to use. So all they need is some development with a pump and an appropriate chassis.
