Funny if ducati won a shootout it's posted all over this forum, yet magazines compare bikes for an hour or two but that works for you because you liked the outcome.

Sprinkles it was a quick review vs out of the box vs what I have in the same conditions. I'll do another after I've had it longer.
Chaotic maybe at race pace the brakes are an issue but I wasn't running that pace with it
Thamer the held up well at the pace I was running. Maybe after some very spirited riding that will change.

There are plenty of Waffle Houses in the south... there is always a chance you of running into Kid Rock.
A buddy of mine has the 2014 R1 and loves it. Yoshi exhaust with a tune from Superbike Unlimited.
Glad you found the bike that apparently was calling you.

Two of my friends have had r1s, one base and a r1m. Honestly they are both cool bikes. The base has a custom map and an Austin racing exhaust, with the fueling sorted out the bike runs awesome. You can't knock the bike, Yamaha got it right. Personally I wouldn't sell my R for one, but I get the appeal.
Just sell your POS and be done with it

Out here, they're on sale for $11,999 for brand new ones before any possible negotiations. I do loveeee the sound with aftermarket exhaust on it though. Anddddd, the anniversary edition looks bitchin and I HATE yellow!

There is a guy who comes to NJMP wIth a 2015 R1 with a Graves exhaust and it sounds like a stroked 350 Chevy engine! It sounds absolutely heavenly when he's on the gas!
