Im guessing a servo buddy would work. It was never needed for the 899/959/1199 or 1299.

So would the full Akra 1299 system fit the 2020 V2? And since the 1299 didnt come with an upmap Im assuming you can install it without any issues and decide to choose what kind of ECU flash or piggy back unit you want. If Im wrong can anyone correct me?

Not sure if its just my bike, but I bought a servo buddy and it won't clear my CEL for the exhaust flap. The guy has great customer service though, he keeps sending me a new one and tweaks the parameters, but still no luck. Using Melcodiag, I can see the CEL is just for the exhaust flap, so its not something else. I will try another brand.
