DIY Sequential Tail Light

Smoked/tinted for me same as the one in the first video :)
I don't need the flashing white lights as I'm sure I'll get pulled by cops here ...... :(
Not sure about installing normal indicators, I wouldn't have them installed as well as this sequential setup.
But if cops don't like it, is it possible to have this option and have like dip switches to revert back to stock rear setup and install normal indicators?

Sweet, I made the list. May I have a party mode option? Hehehe, I'm serious. Like random pattern on a switch? Or am I getting to greedy cause I know how awesome you are? And you like deadmau5 :D

Urs, please sign me up for one too, smoked version. I would also require the indicators to avoid any issues with our friends in green  (unless it works with my Rizoma indicators, which I don't assume)

I will go for tinted glass and dip switches, you're right.
Kit will allow installing none, normal or sequential aux turn indicators.
If sequential aux turn indicators are installed (I also only have a prototype yet), all light functions (i.e. brake and rear light, ACL, PLs) can be inherited to them.

Adding a microphone would make electronics about 10.- more expensive. Maybe I could use the accelerometer's Z-axis if you'd put a loudspeaker on the bike's seat to sync party light to the music.

Don't tell people here that you saw my huge mess in the shed :)

Hey Gecko, how hard is the installtion for the tail light u made? Is it plug and play or would it be better if i get someone else to do it? Tinted glass for me please [emoji2]

I made a prototype. Pilot serie is the goal now for forum members.

Good question: If you're able to remove and reinstall secondary components of your bike (basically fairings), it's plug'n'play. I designed a replacement harness.
So, if you are able to remove your tail light or your bike's tail, you can do it yourself. If you never felt comfortable hodling a scredriver in your hand, your dealer can do it. No splicing of wires, no mechanical adaptions required.

Oh I didn't want anything that elaborate but awesome! Look forward to talking over the options when this really takes off! Thanks Urs!

i think for safety's sake, i would have the turn signals as a standard oem flash rate (not sequential) so as not to confuse the idiots too busy texting and high off their ..... as they mindlessly drive...

I would prefer a red lens if you're keeping track of that preference.

Less likely to be hassled. I bought a new aftermarket light from the dealer (don't remember the brand) but it has amber turn signal LED's built into it. So I was able to remove the turn signals that came on the bike. It's surprising how well the amber LED's show through the red lens. Basically the whole left or right side seems to turn amber. Very nice light. That in a sequential version would be sweet!

I'm also committed to buying one of these if they are available.

Also, what are the supporting electronics like? Are they external to the light unit? I have a 3D printer and some experience prototyping, if you need any kind of case or enclosure let me know.
