Ducati Panigale V4 916 25 Anniversario Build Thread

Alpina, if your bike was not a 916, that beautiful titanium exhaust on your bike would have been $5,300 plus labor.
It sure is a valuable component on your bike

I just wish you’d take it out for a few laps on your local track so you can tell us how great it is

I'm also enjoying the photos and updates that you're posting of your bike. Keep it up!

Thanks for your kind comments DucatiKev and PanigaleV4S,
Yes, I love the looks of my titanium Akrapovic muffler that came standard (and introduce for the first time) with the 916 25 Anniversario version...,
and in keeping with my goal to preserve the design theme and value of my bike , I decided not to change to the full racing Akrapovic despite the full racing version weight less, sound louder and make more horsepower...

Update:
None of the parts and stands that I ordered last week had arrived yet (except just the Throttle Spacer Kit from MotoMillion)... so It's kinda of a bummer...

However, I just ordered:

Can I ask why you're ordering parts like the throttle spacers, rear Ohlins spring, Sprint air filter etc if you're not going to ride the bike and only use it for display purposes? Just curious.

P.s Don't get me wrong. I love buying bikes parts that I don't really need and enjoy installing them haha

Hi PanigaleV4S,
I am expecting this questions to arise :)
Main reason is, just because I like to buy things, just for collecting them :p
But there are other reasons too:
a. Rear Ohlins Spring, the current spring is too stiff for my weight, the bike had zero sag at all when I sit on them, and I like to sit on them once in a while... and since I did not wear shoe in my house, that make me tiptoed when I sit on my bike.
With this lower rate Rear Ohlins Spring, hopefully I did not tiptoed to much and the bike have sag. I also plan to change the shock mounting bracket with the MotoCorse one, so I thought, I need to take out the shocks anyway when I install the Motocorse bracket, might as well change the spring to for another $100
b. Sprint Air Filter, this is for extra induction noise (if there is any) when I start/warm up my bike once in a while
c. Throttle Spacers, I am going to change my hand grip, so might as well install the throttle spacers while I am at it... but I also purchased a CNC racing throttle tube with zero backlash (Sport type model MPA10B and not MPA01B as I listed above) yesterday so I might not need this throttle spacer after all.

Dude you need to ride the .... outta that girl!! Trust me she’s not going up in value anytime soon. I have a couple of special girls and they have dropped in value for sure even know they are one in only 500. You’ll appreciate her that much more! That’s like dating a swimsuit model and never sleeping with her!

Yeah .....life is short, ride this beast not just use it for decorative purposes.

Hi guys, I am not hoping for this bike to go up in value, I am not buying this for investment or anything like that. I just want to have one piece of my life that had been missing (and there are several more still missing :)).
Plus, as I wrote several pages earlier, I am at the age where I had experience all the crazy things in life and now I just cannot fail my family, I need to be always there and healty for my family so that is why I am not going to drive it.

I have to admit, I have been reading this thread thinking this build is ridiculous for a bike that will never be ridden.

But after you just came out and said that you are doing it just because you like to buy stuff; I think it’s totally reasonable.

There’s no pretentiousness about elevating the art of the motorcycle, doing it as an investment, etc...

“I like to buy stuff” it’s brilliantly honest!

Cheers to you

Some Rizoma parts arrived today, I was so excited thinking I could install my Ducati Performance Carbon License Plate Holder with the Rizoma Corsa Red Turn Signal,
only to realize, I only order 1 piece and they did not come in pair... so I just place an order for a second one :p
The good news is I realize I need the Rizoma turn signal extension since this Rizoma Corsa is way too small too short to look balance, so I ordered it together today.

Nothing much today, but I received another shipment of ProTi Titanium bolt and exhaust spring puller, this time for the Front Fender in Gold color and Silver for the rear license Plate.
IMG_6909.JPG

Initially I was planning to use Loctite Silver Anti Seize, but turn out the original factory bolt was tighten using Loctite Locking Compound, so I decided to put Loctite Medium Thread Lock instead.

The ProTi Gold Color match the Ohlins lower TiN coating making the illusion that those 4 holes as a through holes looking from a few feet away. Also, Gold with Black Carbon Fiber background really bring out the contrast.

Here are the before and after comparison side by side:

Also, I bought some air hose, air gun to connect to my portable compressor from Amazon (as tool) in preparation to replace the hand grip with the Rizoma. Of course the hose got to be Red :p
Also bought some Honda Spray and Cleaner to clean my already dusty and slightly "cooking" oily coated bike :D

Post a link to that spray cleaner & polish. Does it work nice?

Hello DucatiKev,
I haven't have time to use the Honda Cleaner, maybe this weekend and I will let you know.
Sorry for delay in reply. I found about the Honda cleaner from this YouTube Video:
Fast forward the YouTube Video to 11:43

And I order it from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY6KI73/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The honda stuff is ok but I like plexus a lot better for the plastics. I've tried both.

It's funny that I believe the person on the YouTube video above actually say the exact opposite :)
I never use Plexus and I also never use the Honda Cleaner too, so I can't offer my personal opinion

By the way,
More parts and stands arrived today:
First, the Ducati Tank Protector:
IMG_6954.JPG

Second the Dynamoto stand, that came package very very well. I do have to assembly the 3 wheel on the main rear stand though... I guess the packaging dictate this.
They are VERY WELL ENGINEERED, better than the Ducati stand:

IMG_6952.JPG

and below are the Ducati Front and Rear Stand, they really came as piece and bits and need to be assembled...
The only things that the Ducati is better than the Dynamoto is... well they are OFFICIAL Ducati Stand and they are RED :p
I bought the Dynamoto stands for when my sons want to vacuum the carpet and need to move the Ducati,...
