Great, thanks for letting me know.

I might ask you another question regarding the rider pegs replacement in the next following days, if you don’t mind.

thx

Hi Marcomacity,
Of course, I don't mind, please let me know if there is any information that I can provide for you.

By the way, I won an eBay bid last weekend (from a seller in UK) for a brand new sets of Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber Heel Guard,
Yes, my Rizoma Rear Sets (part of the 916 Anniversario package) already came with original Ducati Carbon Fiber Heel Guard, but they did not have the label "Ducati Performance" on it, although the shape is exactly the same.
Only if you purchase them separately as an accessories that they have the "Ducati Performance" white label/lettering...
This is the exact item on eBay that I won:

In the next few months (hopefully by end of May or June), I also plan to order a brand new Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Hugger to replace mine, same reason, they are both the same shape, I just want that "Ducati Performance" White Label/Lettering on it :p

Hi BMW Alpina,

I have received as a gift exactly the Ducati Performance:D carbon heel guards plus the Rizoma foot pegs (see pictures). Question I have is...(apologies I am not an expert in mounting stuff and spare parts) how do I remove the standard foot pegs and mount the Rizoma ones? As far as remember there are no screws on the stock ones but just a spring inside them which makes the pegs going up and down

On the new ones (there are two side holes and another central one internally). I assume should I remove the spring from the stock ones and put it into the new one? How?

I would really appreciate if you can give some directions (step by step) as I haven't been able to find any instructions nor videos on "how to remove the foot pegs"

thanks a mill!

Hello Marcomacity,
I am sorry but my bike did not come with the standard stock Ducati rear set, but it already came from the factory with the full Rizoma rearsets, so I really don't have idea on how to replace just the stock foot pegs.
Basically, I am not familiar with how the stock foot pegs connected to the stock foot rest. But with my Rizoma, there is a circlip that you need to take out to remove the foot peg.

That is how the stock ones are as well. Pry circlip out with small flat screwdriver, drop the pin out and your pegs are off.

Ok, no probs - thanks anyway!

Hi ArcticWhite,

so you are saying basically I have to remove the circlip (spring) out from the stock, and, is it easy to put the spring back in place into the new ones? If you know it...

There is a pin that goes through the peg and the spring in this picture. On the side circled, the pin has a circlip (c-clip) on it. Pull that circlip off with a small screwdriver and push the pin out the other side. The spring is not strong at all and has very little tension when the peg is in the down position. It is very quick and easy to do.

Perfect, I will try that tomorrow! Fingers crossed :D

Hi Marcomacity,
This is the picture of the circlip on my rizoma rear sets, when you pry it out with a screwdriver, be careful because it could fly and you might lose it, try to do it slowly or cover the surrounding area with your other hand.

During this pause in conversation I'd just like to say your wife is a LEGEND. There is no better place to park a Panigale than in the lounge room (obviously) but surprisingly few ladies see it that way.

Thoroughly enjoying this Build as well as a couple of similar threads currently active. I wouldn't know half of these bolt-on options existed - or how to bolt them on! - if it weren't for people like you and others who have chipped in their comments. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hi Pete T,
Thank You for your kind words, I appreciate it and yes, I am lucky to have an understanding wife :). Having said that, I had ordered even more stuff this past few days, however, I don't know when they will arrived from Italy or Germany...
For example, I ordered a Brembo T-Drive front rotors yesterday, however it is unclear when I can get it since Brembo factory in Italy is still closed...
https://www.brembo.com/en/Comunicat... Release_Brembo COVID-19_update_ENG-FINAL.pdf

At least Peter Lieb (V-Factory Carbon) is still open and should shipped all my order today :D

I can't sleep so I decided to take out my front yellow reflector and install the ProTi Titanium Bolt for Front Calipers with AELLA Titanium Brake Caliper SPACER and AELLA Titanium Brake Caliper Bolt WASHER.
The Aella Titanium Washer have a lips that kinda "center" the bolt, just like Spoon's Rigid Collar (for car).

Here are the pictures:
Before:

The ProTi Titanium Front and Rear Caliper Bolts (I only install the Front one tonight), it came with the Anti Seize Paste.
I also wonder what is that small round shape metal object on the top left corner of the packaging for... it only 1 pieces... if anyone know what it for, please tell me.

Comparison in length between ProTi bolt and Stock bolt, looks like the ProTi is about 1 mm longer (thread length) which is perfect to compensate for the washer:

Install the washer onto ProTi bolt (notice the lips of the washer):

Top side, ProTi Bolt with AELLA Washer and Spacer, bottom side stock bolt with stock spacer, the ProTi/AELLA combo is so much nicer compare to stock... well I guess money doesn't lie :p

Again, the ProTi bolt on the right picture is much nicer compare to plain black steel on

hi BMW ALPINA,

Did you happen to find out about that small one plate does?

im also thinking getting the kit too? I got the same brand of screws for sprocket , they are quality product.

Hi TsaiCo,
I still have not asked AELLA what that small piece for, it only came in the larger packaging of ProTi bolts.

By the way, I received some more ProTI set last week (pictures below), but I can't install most of them until I get my other parts which still stuck in Europe.
IMG_7172.JPG

Yes, ProTi is very nice quality so I decided that I will order every available ProTi Titanium kits for our Panigale V4 after my other parts from Europe arrived.
(I can't order now because some of the ProTi bolt that I need will be custom length and I will not now the length needed until my parts from Europe arrived and this bolts is not in the ProTi regular kits).

Here are some of the ProTi that I already installed this past weeks
For Akrapovic Exhaust:

For heel guard, but I plan to buy the gold one since the titanium silver color does not pop up with carbon fiber as much as I like:

Front Ohlins axle clamp:

Rear fender bolts:

I even buy a new smaller Snap-on torque wrench to make sure I torque all this Pro-Ti bolts properly:

More parts from AELLA, Titanium rear bolts and spacer, front bolts and spacer, also AEM rear spacer:

I found out Ducati have a new T-shirt for 916 edition so I buy a few of them :D :

Oh, my tail section is currently at a painter, because I purchase a white base sticker from Vulturbike for the "racing number" and also the number "1" sticker which will be clear coated to make it look "factory".
I remember all the special 916 (like the SP or SPS) always have "white section" for "racing number" :D and this is when I test fit:
IMG_7159.JPGIMG_7161.JPG

Lately, I also ordered Motocorse left engine to frame adapter, Brembo T-Drive rotor, and today I am going to pay about 2,500 Euro worth of Ducati parts, plus Peter Lieb just email me the DHL tracking number for the carbon frame, subframe, lower tail, seat back cover, license plate cover, lower tank protector, and key cover, hopefully arrive this week. Oh, I am also working with a manufacturer of custom triple clamp and hope I can get the finalized design soon :p
Plus some custom badging design... Yes, still a long way to go... and the current situation really slows everything down...
