Hi folks - new to the forum and I'm one of those annoying people who get stupidly curious about some things..... like the total number of 1299 FE bikes produced.

Any info???

Cheers,
swennieh

I've seen no answer to this except owners state their #s to see how high. I'm 509

Thanks, the highest number I've seen pictured is 700-something. Rumours are production is under 1000?

I posted a thread on this back last winter, I believe the highest found is 953.
My buddy went to highschool with the north American Rep.
They ended production last July.
I met him at NYST and told me they only imported 240 into the US.

I just spoke with my buddy who is friends with the North American Sales Representative and he confirmed the bike is still in production due to the high demand for the machine.
Not sure what that means in terms of production numbers thus far.

Just heard from a friend that Ducati Netherlands reckons total expected number will be around 1050, still pretty exclusive [emoji4]

Mine told me it'll be less than 1000.

He said a proof for that is (beside his information) the fact, that there are only three digits for the serial number. And all numbers below 100 start with a zero.

If there are more than 1000, mine would be number 0526 instead of 526.

So depending to whom you talk, you get different information.

In Germany btw you still can get around 20 bikes at the dealer. Since the V4 (Speciale) is available here, the FE seems to loose attraction...

I had the choice FE vs V4 speciale. Easy choice to me. The V2 history and legend vs a dressed up new V4. $40k is a lot for a V4 IMO. Of course to each their own $

I talked to a Ducati rep yesterday. He said 1500 is the global total. Said the original show bike has XXXX as it's number. They just add a one once it hits 1000. I asked because I thought we would be 0500 for example vs 500. He said no. They just add the 1

Interesting... Should be expected I guess, last of a dynasty. Could not help myself and bought another one.... [emoji17]

Just to throw it on the thread for history, there were 1299 of these made and each one came with a certificate. The certificate indicated production number, total produced , VIN and engine VIN

I framed mine

If for some odd reason I buy a used one I’m going to need that certificate.

Hello,

Wondered what a good price for this bike would be. Found a 2018 and the guy is asking 29,500.00. says, it has the full race exhaust with about 2200 miles on it. Would appreciate input from anyone if they think this is a good deal or not.
