Hello friends. I need some help with the suspension. I am riding a 2012 Panigale S with electronic Ohlins. I use stock settings on race mode. I am 85kg / 190lbs with gear.

My problem is that when I stop at start/finish on Serres racetrack/Greece my forks hit the bottom and for a second I feel that my front wheel is sliding. Should I increase compression ?

My second problem is the rear shock. When I lean I feel like my rear is jumping. The wear on the tyre comfirms it. I reduced the rebound by 1 (8 to 7 if I am not wrong) and its a little bit better. Also I fixed my tyre pressure and now there is no wear that can confirm the jumps on the rear wheel. Some ppl in the next box told me that my shock is very hard and I should make it softer. The only thing I could do is to reduce the rebound. Should I change the compresion or adjust the shock with the wrench ?

P.S. My rear sprocket is +2 (41 teeths) and my rear tyre is 200/70 dunlop.

I feel like my rear is jumping.
I dont know what this means. If im coming in hot off a long straight, and im on the front brakes my ABS will kick in but the rear of the bike does bounce a little with a good set up.

Going in not as hot, and I get no hop.
200/70 dunlop.
Why? raising the rear that much may be the cause of your problems. stick with the 200/55 and enjoy it
 
@SuperDomestique each spring rate is good for 20 lbs. You are two spring rates away from ideal weight; what the bike's delivered spring rates are. 8.5 N/m in the fork is pretty light. I would recommend starting with a 9.0 in one fork leg and 8.5 in the other in the pressurized fork. That is the 2019+ V4R or 2022+ V4R fork. Let me know which model you have.
 
@Power4Gear you have a lot of issues going on. Please list ALL changes to your bike here and where your bike's current settings are for bike and rider sag as well as rebound and compression settings.

Good info to know. Thanks for the recs! I have a 2022 V4S which has the electronic version of the NPX 25/30.

Front
Static 28 mm
Rider 36

Rear
Static 17
Rider 30
 
Was this after spring changes or with stock rates?

This is with stock springs both front and rear. Front preload is 0 mm of 15 (3 mm stock) so no preload at the moment. Rear preload was adjusted to show 10 mm thread (18 mm stock). Stock preload per manual were different from what was on the bike from the dealer (9 mm front, 11 mm rear).

Suspension settings for last weekend's trackday at Thunderhill West was Sport Dynamic (default). Bike felt great in the corner. Very predictable and confidence inspiring. Thunderhill West is also not the best track for this bike. Basically was in 1-2nd gear the whole time.
 
@SuperDomestique and you weigh 147 lbs WITH gear? Your sag numbers seem quite impossible with stock springs. I would recheck bike and rider sag accounting for stiction. Also, if I set up the bike I would be using lighter springs front and rear. Where are you located?

@bp_SFV4 exactly same weight, SAGs and springs setup. One more important variable is rear ride height - I ride standard 312mm shock length but will be testing 311-310 (because of tires and chain length)
 
@bp_SFV4 you should be fine with your setup then, I use -1 front so my chain is longer (and rear ride height higher because of that). Can't comment on electronic setup, I run manual suspension.

Wrong direction on the shock. Also, why would you make a bike this powerful more peaky with the increased gearing ratio?
 
@roadracerx personal preference not to use 1st gear, but rather gears 2-6. It also depends on the track specificity - doesn't mean bike is more peaky. Regarding shock - wrong direction for you, right direction for me. Bike is hard to ride with 312mm+ rear (corner exits, braking - terrible).
 
@Wito you likely have the forks placed in the clamps at the wrong height to make 312+ mm shock length work. Increasing the gearing ratio absolutely does make the bike more peaky. You may not have an issue with that but it is not an opinion.
