I bought the SF because of the reviews. No test bikes are available over here. It has now done 1000km. I do not find the handling that good - especially in the twisties. Compared to my 2019 Super Duke R the SF is work in the corners as it does not "fall into" corners as mostly described... Am I alone in this experience? Regards!

All of us who pre-ordered relied on reviews from Ducati in our decision to purchase the new Streetfigher. I also realized that being basically built on the now proven Panigale V4(s) most of the bugs should be worked out. The the truth being told, because of the pandemic, a great number of us got our bikes before the "bike rags" could do a on bike review. In all fairness to Ducati, I've not given a detailed account of my thoughts till the sales pick up from the pandemic. You don't have to look hard to find a great number of people tripping over themselves to be first on the web to do a review. Most, if any, aren't reliable. Glad you got to the first service. When you reach 2,400km+ you can really start having fun:)

Did you get the suspension adjusted and rider sag set?

Exactly! They come out of the box ok but they are far from perfect. You need to set it up for you and your riding style. I think my SF handles way better that my Super Duke that has way up graded suspension and still is not as good as my street fighter. But the SD torque blows the SF off the playing field.

I really think that most bike manufacturers set the bike up with the notion that you're going to be with a passenger if it comes with passenger pegs.

If anything, perfectly stock the bike felt too squirrely in turns. You'd push the right bar forward on a right turn to initiate the turn and set the lean and it was very quick to lean but not in a stable planted sort of way. I think this was due to the overly aggressive preload on the rear shock slamming the weight forward with any deceleration or braking.

I'm remembering how my 2014 1199 felt which now we're into clip-ons vs a handlebar. The width of the handlebar over clip-ons is why I think people say it falls into turns.

Yep - 1st thing I did. Factory setting was indeed for two people on the bike. Everything was checked... tire pressure - everything! I tried both DES - F & DES - D.... bike is not easy in the twisties. It is stable yes, but it needs to be "put" in the corners where as the SDR just is light and easy...

And I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket of my SDR.... it is just great to ride the beast now!!

I did the Rottweiler air filter , velocity stacks, Scotts damper, BST wheels, and added two to the rear and she rips! But even with the cartage in the forks and revalved rear she doesn't handle as good as the SF in my opinion.

My SDR was much cheaper (over here) than the SF.... and the $%^%^ SF does not have a fuel gauge, nor cruise control... but the SF surely has a better QS...

That's what you trade going from 2 jugs to 4, generally. My '15 Diavel would absolutely smoke this SF out of the hole (if you could hold on), but the SF is a smoother overall experience. Diavel was like a 50 caliber with a hair trigger; with BSTs, quickshifter, upmap, and down a front tooth that thing definitely needed wheelie control. But the SF comes on like a freight train and I'm not destroying boot sliders.
New generation bikes take a bit for the aftermarket to figure out, but it will get there pretty soon.

After the 1st service the bike improved... and after 1800km even the handling feels better. I see some real bad "orange peel" paint work on the SF.... not very well painted???
