I think you/me/anyone could accept, or deal with, the locating holes needing adjustment. It happens. But the seat thickness being wrong is quite painful.
Most people have a good experience with this company, I'd take it on the chin and accept their off of part refund, or ask them to send another, to the correct specification. Yes, you'll pay another €60, but also you'll have two seats to try out.

Agreed. It might sound prickish but I refuse to pay for someone’s incompetence. Who’s to say they’ll get it right the next time?

I had such high hopes. And I thought this company was held in high regard. Buyer beware.

It seems as if you don’t understand what it means to agree. lol

It also seems as if you have relatively little experience with aftermarket parts, because minor issues like this are common.

In fact, I can’t imagine being this disappointed in a part that will work perfectly with the smallest bit of effort. Hell, people occasionally eat the cost of built motor failures, but you’re making a thread and bashing a company because you need to oval out a couple seat holes or pay some shipping charge? Really??

Did they even respond?

Did you tell them you were 5'-2" when you ordered it? Maybe they knew you are short.

Why should I eat the cost of their mistakes???

My thoughts exactly, I’ve never heard of or seen a single other person not happy with their product or customer service, my interactions with them and what they’ve made for me has been stellar.

The entire time I’m watching this thread I’m thinking what the ...., I bet I’d have that seat on in 60 to 90 seconds.

With regard to seat height, unless I missed something, he just didn’t get what he ASSUMED he was gunna get. Instead of asking follow up questions and then being specific about what he wanted in his seat spec. For example, does standard height mean the same as one if the 3 available seats heights on Ducati’s stock seats, if so which one, or does standard height refer to your in house standard seat height and we customize from there, which is what I assumed from ‘standard height’ as Ducati has at least 3 different seat heights, which one would be standard.

You are also dealing with custom track parts from an Italian company thousands of miles away, one would presume that you need to be very specific about what one wanted and was getting in a question and answer exchange, and short of that, be grateful they are refunding the cost of a custom part and only charging you the shipping to replace it.

Sometimes you just gotta get out of your own way in life.

Do you want a custom made seat from the best guys in the game? If so adjust, pay the shipping, ask more questions and be more clear next time.

In my experience this isn’t a buyer beware situation, it’s a vendor beware of an internet troll who you are never gunna make happy.

So if they’re the experts then why didn’t THEY ask these very pertinent questions? Not sure why the ball is in my court when I’m paying them for their expertise and skill?

Also I was pretty specific on what I wanted. Elisa and I had like 4-5 emails to mail down what I wanted. You all are making some rather big assumptions that I didn’t broach some of these questions.

Sure I assumed that it would be stock seat height bc no one told me otherwise and the fact that it literally ....... says “standard height” in the description as pointed out by Andy which is crazy since he doesn’t even remember that he pointed this out.

The picture you posted looks exactly as what is described, that the seat is the same height in the center.

Standard height to WHICH Ducati seat, they have 3 heights.

Also, all I’m saying is that 9 out of 10 guys on here would have had that seat on the bike within a few minutes with the hole alignment issue and all.

And every person I ever heard of getting one of these seats has not had the ‘miscommunication’ issue on seat height.

Either everybody else is insane and you are the only sane one, or you might be the issue not RaceSeats

Jus sayin, no disrespect intended.

I thought the only height difference was at the front between the Ducati seats. I’ve only had the race and OEM in my hands though.

I saw a video with that guy. He was at a track day giving out some tips. He or the guy he was with said said for his height, his butt is always in contact with the tail of the bike.

I see what you mean that having the wider profile with the flat side can make it harder to flat foot the bike. I can still get my feet on the ground even if it’s in a rear stand but it definitely makes you widen your stance.
