Heads up on RaceSeat fitment on 22 pV4

Had a think about this since Raceseats isn’t going to help.

Going to take a page out of @RickD996 ’s book and use some washers to adjust the seat height by shimming the base plate with the hook that attaches to the subframe. And depending on how much angle that puts on the rear bolts could easily just 3D print some angled washers. That should do it. Won’t be pretty as there’ll be a gap but I’d only be running this setup at the track and can dial in the height.

Lemonade from lemons.

That’s actually a pretty good idea

I don't think you need washers with any kind of an angle at all. Just longer screws and a washer stack. The mating surfaces at all four fastener points are parallel to each other. The whole assembly is at an angle due to the general angle of the subframe, but that is of no consequence to what you are doing.

Maybe if the new angle was great enough you'd have to remove some material around the two rear bolts for the shoulders screws.

Once you get the height, you could order some spacers.

I knew I'd convert someone!

Although, as mentioned by Steven, that is a sterling idea!

30mm lift?

Where's my washer stack...

😂😂😂

Dunno yet but the profile looks pretty bad ass

Do you bother with tank grips anymore since going with the Vulturbike tank cover? I noticed with how wide the rear is and with the sharp(er) angle of the rear lines it really catches the inner part of your thigh. I lazily installed my older DP tank grips and my legs don't seem to be in as much contact as they were when installed on the tank without the Vulturbike cover.

Hit up Tech Spec for their new tank pads for the V4. New low profile material. I think they’re 2-3 mm thick. You can see it on my bike which Dean used as a template. They’re also super moldable and don’t peel off at the edges like the old stuff

I’m a stompgrip guy, and yeah I use them, next post is a comparison of the 20 mm raised flat seat compared to the 50 mm raised I just got, but you can see how I have the stompgrips on there…I like to wrap them around the sides cause my leg my leg lands on the corner at lean.

Still a lot of downward slope, and in my case I don’t think it’s fixable on this bike for me, because I need the rear of the seat to be high so I can get into a tuck. If I raise the front of the seat while having the back where I need it I won’t have any tank to grip lol

bp you can see how I have the stompgrips placed.

As an aside I ordered both the high profile and low profile MonkeyGripps tank extenders to try, several guys had them at the track last weekend and they look very promising. Will update

I was looking for a solution that wraps around the corner. Same thing, that's where my thigh is.
Hey they sent you my seat ahaha! 😂 3rd times the charm. What is that $900 tied up in Raceseats product. Yikes!
That dude's dining room table cost more than your bike. I don't think he cares.

The screw holes

Mine were off in the exact same way SuperDomestiques were, like literally they were off the same amount in the same way, took a frustrating 10 minutes to get the seat on, but it’s a function of getting the angles right on both holes at the same time.

Very annoying to do but if your patient and keep fiddling with it eventually they click into place, once you get it the 1st time it’s easier after that.

Regardless of the screw hole situation, if the profile is off the profile is off.
