Btw, finally test fitted mine and the holes lined up perfectly. Didn’t have to force anything into place. On the contrary it was a little loose in front, so I’ll add some rubber pads under the base plate to take up the slack.

I saw these when I 1st bought the bike but thought they were ugly. But then when you start going to the track functional suddenly becomes more important, I had forgot about them until I saw several guys at the track with them last weekend.

I order the high profile and low profile versions to try in solid black.

Supposed to be here today.

The guy is very responsive and fast, and will let you order it a try several different versions and return the one you don’t want.

He can custom make one too

What I like about them is that my chest hits that hard right angle of my Vulture bike extender in a tuck. These might let you get a good leg grab and a more ergonomic tuck

Interesting that they offer customized shapes.

ill consider something more conventional like this… and without the logo

I looks like the Monkey Gripp more or less does the same thing a SBK style tank cover does but in a different material.

Do you think it being neoprene is good or bad?

I think the other shape they offer is pretty interesting too.

Not sure yet. It may not be as tacky as some of the other types, but it seems better than the R&G ones that I have now. I’m hoping the extra thickness will provide slightly better leverage on the tank as well. They were really cheap so figured why not give them a shot.

My experience with neoprene is that the surface kinda hardens over time just enough to lose grip, but it wouldn’t be that hard to bond a bit of stomprip to key areas

Need to do any gymnastics to get it to fit?

You could also bend the tab down a bit or wrap it w electrical tape to get a little more pressure/solid

Pulling the pin on this project. Too much work. Spacers push the bracket forward and it doesn't clear the tank. Seat is for sale.

$250 shipped and it's yours. $100 off because you'll have to ovalize the holes

Bp this is the way, wish I would have found it BEFORE the VultureBike setup lol

This is the high profile version of the MonkeyGripps.

It makes a nice comfortable flat place for your chest in the tuck. And the leg hooks in perfectly and super secure.

That thing they teach you that you are supposed to be able to hang of the bike with just your legs?, I’ve never been able to do that, just couldn’t get hooked in right to bear all my upper body weight, but with this thing it’s easy.

It also hangs far enough back from the seat ti be good under braking, and there is a gap between the bottom of it and the seat fir your junk so you nuts don’t get crush in hard braking.

Now you tell me ............. LOL. I got the tank cover with the brushed aluminium finish, which I really like. So much so that if I'd do the Monkey Grip I'd strip the paint on the tank and give it a brushed finish.

That looks decent being all black and a red logo. It solves a protection problem to in that everything on the tank that you'd be in contact with is black rubber.

😂😂😂

Dude hind sight is 20/20 lol

I might order another one with the logo in black, if I do I’ll send you this one ;-)

I put some Stompgrip on there and it looks fine, Stompgrip sticks to it well.

I guess the only speculative grip I'd have is that its held on with tape. IIRC, I think their instructions said it can be installed with silicone, which if I liked it, I would do.

It’s really good 3M tape, I’m 250 pounds, it doesn’t budge. But yeah it’s easy to affix semi permanently

Considering they refunded you the entire purchase amount, and you consider the product defective, the decent thing to do is sell it for the cost of shipping.

According to you there’s nothing wrong with it so by that logic it should be sold at full value
