top quality engineering right there....mind you don't catch your nuts in that gap to the tank!

Sorry, forgot you were on here Andy! This is just for you:

Ensure you refit your seat pad, BEFORE riding the bike.

Or, even sitting on it. As, maybe Andy likes to sit on his seat pad bracket naked, just to check ball to bike/seat bracket interference issues.

Thanks for the heads up Andy!

The fooking great void here

But you would know that already .. stick to red wires and blue wires.
Plus not putting the same amount of washers front and back you have altered the angle of the seat base rear lower when most seem to want to go up.

You guys have it all wrong, you haven’t lived yet if you haven’t accelerated up 180 mph on the front straight of Autoclub Speedway with your balls out, catching air…big smile on your face.

Nicely picked up Andy!

The beauty of altering the seat angle is, you can try it, see if you like it, and then alter it again! My observation of Steven's seats, most are higher at the front. But, you can do ANYTHING that suits you. xxx

Well technically he might be right, if you are riding with your balls out perched on your seat like little lords, and you slam your brakes on hard enough you could end up seeing how small a space they can fit into there.

I guess, depends on bollock shape too. If, they are more disc shaped, than round, they may well slip between the gaps easier? I'm not sure which is preferable though. Maybe Spider make an adapter plate, to alter the shape for you?

Return of the Washers!

Guys, I added 18mm of spacers to my seat bracket. It wasn't a problem. I added 6x3mm at the front (fitted longer bolts to accommodate), and 2x3mm at the rear. No issues 🤷‍♂️

I'm off to Spain end of the month, so will try it out.

Washers to the rescue! About the only thing I could foresee is that these longer bolts/spacer will be putting more leverage on the bolt holes and could put excess stress on the cast alu subframe. If I were to do this as a permanent solution I’d cross brace/box in the spacers and build an infill.

I came to this party so late and I’m sad about it.

For the record, seat height (whatever that means) has exactly zero to do with where your knees end up, unless, that is, the seat you ordered is extra fancy and either changes rearset position or changes the length of your tibias.

Agree that seat height doesn’t change the knee height. But it does affect where your thigh goes. Higher seat will allow me to get my thigh higher into the notch in the tank which is the end goal.
