I can email them if you want

sent it to about 6 people now, one of them can rotate, cut, copy, trim, and pretty it up and stick it on here cos im off out
Wow, that is not comfortable reading!
I know I'll never push this bike to its limit but the fact that stability and power are giving the BMW a massive 2 sec difference on the track kinda undermines the basic premised of buying this bike over the BMW.
Its not the same as a Nissan GTR outpacing a Ferrari but the Ferrari looks better - this thing actually does every job better than the Duke and is significantly cheaper!
I've got a deposit down on a 1199S but I'm now a bit unsure, given that MCN are obviously in Ducati's pocket and were given first access to the original bike to build the hype.
MCN's reviews can only be trusted so much though.. i rmb in 2009 when yamaha r1 was released, the tester gave it the best superbike, saying it makes the fireblade feel like a 600 due to the lack of grunt.
In 2010, the superbike comparison tests, they annouced the 8th position being yamaha r1. Didnt know how it dropped from best superbike in 09 to worst superbike in 2010 =X
Another thing is that the BMW out grunts the v-twin I noticed that it felt ack lustre below 6000 and this confirms it)
Most people will be buying this bike for looks, v-twin grunt and handling. At the moment it's only winning one of the three.... You wouldn't marry a supermodel if they were .... in bed!
I had a 2007 Yamaha R1 and was not able to use the full potential.
Are you able to max one of them out(bmw/duc)?
I have never been on a racetrack, but on a german autobahn there were no enemies to my R1!
So, for me personally, I placed the 1199s order because it is the most beautiful bike in the world.
I don ´t care if someone comes up and says: the bmw is faster here and here ....
Even if it is faster I am proud of riding a beauty, not a "cyclops".
Just my two cents.
Having read the full article (thanks Scott) I'm not too concerned. They aren't saying the Ducati handles badly - far from it, more that it is not quite as refined as the BMW. Also if you look at the lap times there is a fair amount of deviation over who was riding what. The Pirelli test rider was quicker on the Panigale than Hodgson on the BMW. Performance is one aspect I look at when buying a bike and for me the Panigale still scores better in all the other areas.
Two things to keep in mind. One, uncork the big twin with a full system it is going to pick up 10+hp. Recently MCN Dyno a Tri with and without the term slip-on and it gained approx 8 hp to 184.6! Second, every Ducati made over the past 20+ years was ever set-up for the average weight rider. In 2008, AMS in Dallas properly setup the new 1098r for the press launch it lapped the 2 sec faster.
With the right fork springs and the full system it will go S1000r hunting!
