  • ÖHLINS make the world go around

  • V4 is damn good as is, even has wings

  • Other mods are more important

  • You tart, you've seen Swedish girls right?

I agree, and I’ll propose that Red States should form their own country, then I’ll not have to pay taxes to support those whiny ........ All Red States take in far more dollars than then send in to the treasury. Blue and coastal states prop them up, as documented by many sources. Let’s admit it’s time to break the country apart, do you agree? You should. Let’s do it by 2028. The Deep South can form their own country, with perhaps some Midwest bibles thumper states. The NE will be it’s own country as will the pacific coastal states. For those that don’t like where they are, they can move. If you stay you don’t get to vote. Military bases will belong to what area they are in. The Navy would be harder to separate but it could be done. If you live in a Red Country, you will not be getting any more SS or disability checks from the former US treasury.

Buy base model V4, learn how to ride at the track, get fast, buy Öhlins. Mods delete this thread, can I make DucatiKevs posts invisible?

Lol

+2
I would do the same if I was looking to buy a V4
That way once you start upgrading components you will feel what each part is doing under you and if is helping

Ok no more thread jacking. We're talking about the need for Swedes' electronic ÖLHINS and forged wheels and...
What else is a must have on the "S?" WHY pay the extra €5k - maybe I should get an old pickup instead with that €5k! ? ? ?
Looks Swedes and ÖLHINS!

I’d just get the S and be done with it. It will be 99.99% of what you want without the upgrades. BUT if you like adding bling get the base, it will be 98.3% of what you want then you can justify wheels 5k, pipe 5k, ohlins 5k, assorted decorations 5k.... have fun doing it!

Ya, to your point, I like riding way more that blinging out a bike.
Thank you guys. I really appreciate it.
I've never had the pleasure of riding Öhlins on a track, only on the road so I really don't know what the difference is. I've certainly heard it for 10 years. I feel like I've gotten my riding to a point where I could appreciate such an upgrade. It took years for me to be able to push my 848 closer to its limits and I'm really looking forward to a next level adventure learning the Panigale. I have had the pleasure of Dave Moss tuning my suspension at Laguna Seca, THill and Sears on many an occasion and have experienced the world of difference a real suspension whisperer can create, so get it.

Go with the S. The wheels are a substantial upgrade, one that is easy felt. The electronic suspension is awesome once the preload is set, and a good custom setting found. It is nice to switch it to street ( comfortable setting) when I‘m cruising, then sport or race for twisties, track.

One more question. Used? What would you look for in a used V4S to make sure it's not a lemon or to make sure it's a good one.
I found a Ducati Certified 2020 V4S that was sold to a Ducati dealer right from the Ducati factory. It's a pretty good price and only has 2500 km. They're asking €21000 ($25661).
Good deal? They say it's perfect, full warrantee etc. Thanks ~

Any of them sold directly to the dealer would be a demo model. I know the employees at the dealers around here also ride them home from time to time as well as "celebrities" will sometimes borrow them for a couple weeks at a time when in town.

Now back to demo models, I personally wouldn't buy one, never know who rode it, how hard and how long. Get them to throw in the extended Ever Red warranty and it may be worthwhile in the long run. Unless you plan to do unsupported electronics mods which will void the warranty if they can prove it caused the issue.
