My 1199

That's the same place I got mine and they most certainly did not tell me to "Ride it like I stole it" from the get go. They, and the Ducati tech, urged me to follow the break in procedures, enjoy the bike and ride safely.
Who was your sales guy? I was working with Steve and Brian. Steve did the delivery and that advice came from him. Regardless, there's 600 on it now and I've only been north of 6k a few times. Bringing it in next week for it first service.

Well if you are not satisfied, sell it and get the f out a here. Idiots that do 180 outside of a racetrack are a danger for other drivers. Anybody can go fast straight. Ducatisti will be Ducatisti. We believe Ducatis are more then just a bike. Buy a ricerocket and stay out of my way.

Tommy was my sales person. I talked with the Mechanic who prep'd the bike. Both said to ride it like normal, keep it under 6K for first 600 miles, get service done then ride as you like. But they never said to do whatever I wanted or to beat the heck out of it. They leaned toward a more conservative approach for break-in.

Let me know how your first service goes. I'll be scheduling mine probably for the following week. I have 400 on it now but with the 110 degree weather set for this week I probably won't be doing much riding.

You really Sound like my Litle .......

Well I had said we should hold off on judging onearm just because his friend is a dick but now after hearing back, I have my answer. I use to think all the sportbike ........ lived in Florida, lol now I know otherwise.

2 cheap unloved Pani's for sale now then ....

If any of you make them an offer just build in an allowance for replacing all the sagged springs

Just made a quick visit to Gixxer.com, after all I do still own a GSXR. Hadn't been on there in a while. Wow, they got some posters over there just bashing the heck out of the panigale. They also seem to make some relationship between a racer who crashed his 1199 and the overall performance of the bike. I guess no one ever crashes a Suzuki.

Anyways, reading this thread reminds me of gixxer.com and some of the immature posters that frequent that site. Come on guys, grow up. I mean, who really cares about some guy that bought an 1199 and then decides to sell it simply because it wasn't fast enough. Is it really worth acting like a bunch of children calling each other names and making character assassinating comments?

Take the high road here. After all, we are still riding our Italian thoroughbreds and this guy will be riding his green monster. Everyone is happy and a Ducati will be sold to a new owner who will enjoy the bike.

Lets just move on from this thread please.

I found it comical that Suzuki owners were poking fun of Ducati's MotoGP efforts  LOL Suzuki doesn't even have a GP team and haven't been competitive since the bikes were 500cc LOL Anyway, I agree shut this thread down.

Pffft.

It only took the Pani 12.2 miles to reach 178, but it took the ZXUgly 44 miles to reach 189.

:D

Some are Florida natives, some come from NYC & Jersey, and settle in Florida.

What is going on??? Is it a full moon or something??

Everybody is getting along great, I don't log in for 3 days, and I come back to one big flame and troll fest.

This and the other thread about a bad oil service, grown men calling each other names!

Forum tone seems to be heading for the lowest common denominator sadly. Not sure how much advice I'm willing take from people who sink so low.

I'd bet real money that this onearm turkey doesn't actually own an 1199. This reeks of test ride / loan bike to say the green monster was faster (by a whopping 8mph!!)

Not to mention earlier in the vid I saw fatboy on the zx10 sitting on 187 & not gaining on the 1199 at ALL.

Nice try boys, next time try to be more subtle, eg don't say the bikes slow & you're going to sell it in your 2nd post - mauve wait til your 6th or 7th & someone with IQ as low as yours might beleive you.

I dunno about you, but when I buy a new Ducati, I KNOW if its hot a full Termi system or just slip ons on - not a mustake a real owner makes, but it suited their agenda. I can confidently say that not one person will buy a zx10 instead of a Panigale as a result of these idiots so you wasted your time boys.

In other news I recorded 170kph at under 6000rpm on the weekend on my S model with only 300kms on the clock. Effortless speed machine.

Oneeye claims he owns several bikes, including a Desmo. My question is, how can someone who can barely spell and presents himself as a complete idiot have that kind of money? Drug dealer?

Mods can we kill this thread? Dislike for a bike is fine but this has crossed the line in so many ways.
