I guess you are very lucky or maybe you got a panigale R build any other day beside Monday because the one ducati send to the usa are build in monday lol
and yes I track my bikes

I'm on my second Panigale R and i have a 1098R.

No issues with any of these bikes.

I also have a couple of friends with R's and they have also had no issues. What problems are you specifically having.

...i've had a few.....but they get fixed....come back, then get fixed...."all good" :)

i keep saying it but to produce this much power with such a light chassis and putting a 2 year warranty on it is really cool.

...for the record...the D16RR Desmosedici was 3yrs of financially worry free riding on the non-consumables :D

I got a magic ball and I can see it look like a panigale with more .... that you don't need and it will make you slow in the track because you will worry too much about your fancy carbon fiber and the guy in the ninja 250 it going to pass you in the strait away.but in the pit you can brag to the guy next to you about how bad ... you bike is.until your section show up and everybody know to pass you in the first lap because you are going to be too concentrated in choosing the multiple computers aids and making sure you are not tailgating anybody, you don't want rock chip on your cool ... bike.

During the AMS Ducati / Austin Ducati hosted track days at MSR Cresson, you would typically see 3 or 4 Superleggerras, a mix of several Panigale R, 1299, and 1199 bikes, and various other Ducati, BMW, and Aprilia bikes modded to the hilt, all being ridden harder than it is to read and understand your posts...

If you don't believe me, head down and visit during their next event and you will likely understand just how big of an ....... you sound like.

That first photo is from cota in the garage. But yes always a ton of high end panigale sat and events and at cota when ridesmart does track days

Funny none of my R's burn oil, maybe I should just get another one to check. Why because I can.................Sounds like someone is jealous, the usual case when bashing an R.

I'm guessing that's how it looks when you actually use a file?

That is so much worse than the original chicken srtips, you are admitting you don't have the abiliy to do it through your riding. I don't have anything against chicken strips, some guys prefer to leave the agressive riding for the track, no doubt the safest place to do it.....you cant judge a rider by his tyres.
That's from doing a track day, no way I can get these riding canyons...

Apologies NorCal, I thought you had found a photo of someone who had actually filed out their chicken strips, I misunderstood the comment. You certainly got the most out of that set.

I think you need to look at your suspension set up, the tearing on the rear is not right it looks like it's tearing but from a geometry set up rather than pressure.

Interesting you bring this up because I've had a gut feeling something isn't feeling right and that I have to battle the bike more than I should...

I'm gonna try to find someone that can help me with the suspension setup but here are some more pics, hopefully you can see something I can't and try to figure out what's wrong...

I agree with reganc, that does not look like good. Your in Cali so get a hold of Dave Moss and Catalyst Reaction to get your suspension setup correctly. You can also check out his website and YouTube vids for suspension setup info. Dave Moss Tuning | Ensure your bike geometry, spring rates, hydraulic damping and tire size/compounds are in sync

I'm suspecting the previous owner (who was taller and heavier than me) made any change to the geometry... I reached out to Dave to see when I can stop by and have it tuned. I had planned to do it and I'm fortunate I don't live too far from his shop!

Thanks for the feedback guys!!!

thats great..!! do you have any idea when we get Chapter 2 on the project1408 site ? Nov 7th...?

Just checked again............. still nothing

Going back to previous posts about the R mine (2015) is still going strong. It does use some oil but nothing to much and no visible smoke in the exhaust fumes........ I have also tracked it with no issues

I don't see what is wrong with this tire. I see a tire that has been used on the street after a track day. Nothing more. There is nothing here that looks like a suspension problem. No cupping, no cold tearing, no signs of over heated compound. Yes the edge has rubber rolling off but that is to be expected. Maybe you guys are seeing something I am not in these photos. If so please point it out. But from what I see the tire looks good.
