Seepage from rear valve cover gasket. Thoughts?

Just change it . It's going to get worse and its a easy job to fix . Use a generous amount of 3 bond and you should never have to worry about it again .

I'll check the torque tomorrow I guess. Aside from tomorrow it'll be too ...... to ride it so I guess I'll take advantage and get it swapped out. Hopefully it's in stock at the dealer.

wilkson +1. You still have the grey 3bond on your gaskets. This time take the black one! also carefully clean and degrease surfaces before re-sealing it.

3bond. Please explain. Is there an issue with it, or...?

Mine started leaking on the track. Roebling. Half mile straight. Got it all over the rear, luckily not on the tire...

Glad you found yours early!

At least yours doesn't looks half as bad as mine. My bike is pissing oil all over the place. I am intimidated to take it all apart and fix the leaks/leak so I am taking it to the shop next week. Hopefully they don't charge me an arm and a leg! Please post pics if you do it soon to boost my confidence haha! I looked on YouTube and no luck. Good luck!

Should be easy enough. I've taken the tank off to put in a new air filter and that was super easy. I had the subframe off to replace the heat shield on the exhaust and that was super easy too. Four bolts and some wiring harness unplugs and the entire subframe, fairings and all, comes off. I'll try to snap some pics for you though. Gotta wait for the sealant to arrive so it'll be a week or so.

I too have had my tank off to replace the air filter. I am just nervous working on the engine for some reason...thanks

Someone really should do a small walk through on this for those who haven't done it/want to

I have been digging through forums and the internet to hopefully stumble across a video or writeup on this. I can do it, i just know when you start working on things you always run into one problem that others have an easy fix to. I might cancel my Appointment and do it myself.

Once you have the rear sub frame off it really is a 15 minute job . If you get stuck there are plenty of members here to help you through it .

I didn't mine over winter, New seal, some threebond. Thrashed .... out of it at the weekend and it seems to have done the job

DLIT. You should google Pauline Hanson, a former politician in Australia.

She once famously said "Please explain" in an interview with 60 minutes.

Maybe when I move there I will. I like Australia's stance on immigrants. And they say .... a lot. I like that, too.
